They made a date on the riverbank they used to go when they were youthful.
The following day, Granddad got up 6 a.m in the first part of the day, ran to the bank, got a major bundle of wild roses before dawn, trusted that his darling will come.
Yet, granddad finished in frustration grandmother never appeared even after nightfall.
Granddad returned home in such annoyance.
He opened the entryway, seeing grandmother lying on the couch with her pad.
He tossed the blossoms on the floor and addressed:
“For what reason didn’t you come to our date?”
Grandmother concealed her head in the cushion and answered timidly:
“Mother didn’t permit me to go”
