Maggie Mellish and Charlie Douglas of South Derbyshire, experienced shepherd owners, were inspired by Bella’s story and committed to providing the care, love, and stability she deserves. “We know she will need regular vet appointments, and we are ready for that,” Maggie said. “She’s older, but she deserves peace, comfort, and affection after everything she’s endured.”
Bella’s adoption also included a heartfelt reunion with Jane Harper, the woman who first saved her life. “Seeing Bella again is emotional—it brings back memories of that terrible day,” Jane said. “We’re so happy to see her thriving under the RSPCA’s care.”
The RSPCA expressed both pride and sadness at saying goodbye. “Bella has been brave throughout her journey,” the organization posted. “We will miss her, but we are thrilled she has found a loving, permanent home. She truly deserves all the love she now receives.”
