Just one day earlier, The Hour star Savannah Guthrie announced that she would be skipping NBC’s The View this week to spend time with her family. Hoda gave fans a glimpse into her personal life as she kicked off her vacation by sharing that she was spending Sunday morning at home with her girls watching the Women’s World Cup.
She later revealed that her friend and co-worker Jenna Bush Hager threw an amazing pre-birthday dinner for her entire family, including her mother, Sameh “Sami” Kotb.
“@jennabhager I’m thankful for an amazing pre-birthday meal! It was fun for the whole family including YOU!” Jenna managed it, reveals Hoda in the text of the photo.
Hoda, who recently announced the release of her new book Hope is a Rainbow, which was inspired by her youngest daughter Hope, will be enjoying a well-deserved vacation.
She told young readers and admirers, “It reminds me that hope is around every corner, no matter what hardships you endure,” as she spray-painted the book’s title on a wall in the Bronx, New York.
In February and March 2023, Hope spent many days in the hospital; after months the book was published. After her departure from Today, Hoda informed the audience, “My youngest, Hope, was in ICU for a few days and in the hospital for a little over a week.”
I’m pretty glad he’s back. He’s back home. We are keeping a close eye on her and I was looking forward to that day. “I’m ecstatic.
“I’m thankful for my family and I’m thankful for friends like you who have been there every day,” Savannah said.
Her children’s book I’ve Loved You since Forever, inspired by Haley’s birth in 2018, has a sequel called Hope is a Rainbow.
