My wife and her concubine were responsible for the accident that put me in a coma, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise. She wished I wouldn’t survive, but I did.
As I continued to brake my car, I kept asking myself, “Am I going to die today?” Elaine, my wife, called me that there was an intruder in our house, so I ran down the highway to get back to her.
As I was driving at 80 km/h, a young redhead staggered across the road. I tried to brake and got no response so I swerved to avoid hitting the boy who had just appeared out of nowhere. My car flipped several times and then I passed out.
The next time I realized it, I was in the hospital. Despite being fully aware of everything going on around me, I was unable to open my eyes and was in excruciating pain all over my body. I tried to speak many times, but my lips didn’t respond either.
The only sound I heard for a while was the beep beep beep of the device I was connected to. After the nurses left to check my vitals and make sure I was stable, I continued to try to get my body’s abilities to function because there was nothing else I could do.
After a few hours, I heard someone come to my department. I tried to open my eyes once more but to no avail. The person who walked in had a familiar scent and when she spoke I knew it was my wife.
I was ecstatic, but I couldn’t express it. It was a terrifying event. Instead of crying when I told her how much it hurt, I heard her dial a number. I was amazed at what she said when the contact answered.
She remarked, “John didn’t die, honey,” “I should have known the mechanic I paid to take care of his brakes would do a terrible job.” Elaine laughed in response, but I couldn’t hear what the other was saying to her.
Her words: “Don’t worry, dear,” “John is a vegetable right now, and the doctor says he’ll probably stay that way.”
I was disappointed and felt cheated. I made every effort to get my body to start working again at that exact moment, but I was unable to do so. After a few minutes, my wife left, but the lessons I learned stayed with me.
An hour later I heard the door to my ward open again and a small child talking. He asked, “Is this the man who saved my life?”
“Yes, it’s Arthur,” said another voice, an older female voice. “Say thank you.”
The young man immediately said, “Thank you, sir.” “I hope you get well soon.
As the woman expressed her gratitude, she grabbed my hand and began to cry. The boy’s mother was there to express her appreciation for my brave act. For the first time that day, I felt a little better.
Perhaps out of pity, but rather out of gratitude, the two continued to visit me daily. She kept me clean and shaved my growing beard to make me look acceptable.
Each visit she brought me a novel and I found myself wanting to open my eyes to see what she looked like as she read it to me in her flattering, melodious voice.
I had no idea what she looked like, even though she introduced herself as Jenna once.
Except when she stopped, every day was absolute hell and I started falling for her. After the first day, my wife made no effort to come to me at all and I knew she was most likely spending my hard-earned money somewhere.
Two months later, Jenna came to me with her son and heartbreaking news. They had some debts and were moving elsewhere to live with their mother. She came to say goodbye to me and wish me a full recovery.
My heart ached when she informed me of her impending move and I began to experience real panic. I didn’t want to lose her. I let one tear fall from my eye. I had no power.
After noticing the tears, she went to the doctor. They came back together and kept coaxing me to open my eyes. I wanted to see her so badly that I finally did.
She was really pleased when I did and my love for her grew. I told the doctor I wanted to surprise my wife, but he asked if I wanted to call her right away. I had a strategy.
I asked the nurse to call and tell her I died an hour after I woke up. When she heard this, she rushed to check, and when she found that I had been taken to the morgue, she immediately took out her phone and called the man on the line: “Our plan worked!”
She didn’t know I was watching and when she hung up I told her who I was. “Spirit!” she screamed in terror.
Even though it was funny, I wasn’t laughing when I told her I didn’t want to be with her anymore. Once I tell her that I intend to divorce her, she will not be able to inherit my things.
I also warned her that if she tried to do any more harm I would have her imprisoned. She tried to plead but I told her that I heard her calling the day I was admitted to the hospital. She then ran away in a hurry because she was afraid I would change my mind.
After I helped Jenna pay off her debt, we started dating. Now we live happily together and I enjoy spending time with her and her baby Artur.
What does this story teach us?
Evil never wins. In order to obtain John’s fortune, Elaine engages in horrible activities, but her plans are foiled and he survives in the end.
Everything happens for a reason. John was in a terrible situation and felt as if his life was over because he was unable to get his body to follow his instructions, but eventually, he realized that everything was controlled by a higher power. If John was asked if he would do it all over again, he probably wouldn’t make any changes because it led him to Jenna, who eventually became his wife.
This story reveals a powerful message about resilience, justice, and the importance of integrity. Despite betrayal and near death at the hands of his wife, John ultimately prevails, showing that evil plans do not win in the end. Elaine’s plan to take John’s life and his fortune backfired when John defied the odds and survived the accident. In his darkest moment, John found an unexpected source of strength and love in Jenna, who provided him with care, comfort, and ultimately a fresh start in life.
The story also emphasizes that everything happens for a reason. Although John’s accident initially seemed like a tragic and irreversible event, it was through this ordeal that he was able to reflect on the deeper forces at play. His experience led him to Jenna, a woman who helped him heal emotionally and physically, and together they built a new life away from the manipulation and deception of his ex-wife.
John’s ability to recover and move forward, finding love and peace, ultimately proves that despite great adversity, there is always hope for a better future. His journey teaches us that no matter the hardships we face, there is always the possibility of growth, change, and redemption.
