Curb Your Enthusiasm Actor Keith Lewis has died of a heart attack.
On Wednesday, admirers, along with actor Larry David and Hollywood actress Bette Midler, paid tribute to Richard on social media.
The popular stand-up comic has died at the age of 76, Deadline reports.
His publicist then claimed it was due to a heart attack on Tuesday.
Richard rose to fame in the 1980s as a comedian.
He rose to fame after appearing on late-night talk shows including The Tonight Show, The Howard Stern Show, and The Late Show With David Letterman.
The TV and film star portrayed a fictional version of himself on the popular HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm. In the twelfth season, he reprised the same role alongside Larry David.

“Three and a half years ago I was in the middle of a tour and then I ended the show where I said, ‘You know, I’m at the top of my game, after almost 50 years, call it over. ‘
“Suddenly a piece of crap hit the fan. I had four operations back to back. I was amazed and could not believe what I saw.Â
Unfortunately, you know, that’s how life goes.”
“I’ve had surgery on my back, shoulder, hip, and one of my shoulders. There were times when [physical therapy] consumed all my thoughts.
“On top of all that, two years ago I started walking a bit stiffly, shuffling my legs and I went to a neurologist, they did a brain scan and diagnosed me with Parkinson’s disease.”
Fortunately, he claimed, he caught the disease early enough to slow it down and took appropriate medication, so he was “fine”.
He subsequently stated that he was done with stand-up comedy and that he wanted to focus on acting and writing.

Larry honored her in a heartfelt statement released by HBO on Wednesday.
“All my life, Richard has been like a brother to me. We were born in the same hospital, three days apart,” he noted. He was the nicest and funniest person at the same time, unlike most of the others.
