In a breathtaking photo shoot, the photographer captures the tender moments of twin baby boys in their final days.

Lyndsay and Matthew Brentlinger’s journey to parenthood has not been easy. The couple were left heartbroken after doctors told them one of their twins would be stillborn.

After learning that one of their twins might have been stillborn, Lyndsay and Matthew Brentlinger became the proud parents of twins, something they never imagined.

Just days before Christmas 2016, an Ohio couple gave birth to a wide-eyed and flawless son, William, and a daughter, Reagan, but even though their son seemed healthy, they knew their beloved boy was dying.

Doctors prepared the couple for the worst after William was diagnosed with a heart condition while he was still in the womb.

When a friend of the couple heard about their despondency, she decided to take steps to help the new family preserve their precious time together.

When she called local photographer Lindsey Brown of Lindsey Brown Photography, she wondered if there were any last-minute photo opportunities. Due to her busy schedule and the proximity of Christmas, Lindsey made an exception on this occasion.

According to Brown, “I knew right away I had to do something for them. Who could say no if they had a heart?”

Mandy Edwards, a friend of the couple, organized a photo shoot as a Christmas present and Lindsey met the family two days later, aware that time was of the essence as no one knew how long William had been gone.

Lindsey commented, “I couldn’t believe how perfect they both looked.”

When I photographed them, they each weighed around five kilos. Little Reagan was asleep and barely opened her eyes, while William was incredibly alert, as if trying to absorb everything, according to CNN, as reported by CNN.

She described it as bittersweet the whole time she was there. They showed up and behaved flawlessly. You’d never think there was anything wrong with sweet Will.

William left a few days after their photo shoot. He was only 11 days old.

The twins’ father, Matthew Brentlinger, told CNN affiliate WTVG that his time with William was “the happiest 11 days of [his] life” and that the pictures will serve as a constant reminder of that time.

According to Lindsey, she will always remember the memories she made while photographing the twins.

It warms my heart more than words can say to know that they will be able to look back on [these pictures] for the rest of their lives and one day show Reagan when he is older.
