I recently noticed that something special was happening in our neighborhood when Halloween was coming. It is as if a scary spirit has taken over, but not as you would expect.
Every year it seems that the family is in a competition that will be overcome by bizarre and excellent decorations. And this year I’m starting to think – if it goes too far?
Every year, without failure, the family next door passes overboard with their Halloween decorations and I’m enough!
Their yard looks more like a frightening thematic park than something that fits in a cozy neighborhood. Do we really need skeletons hanging from every tree, fog machines spewing everywhere, and enough false ears to feel like I was going through a spider nightmare?
I understand it, it’s Halloween, but isn’t there a line? Just a few pumpkins and tasteful decorations! Instead, it is a sticky competition to see who can scare the sense of the surroundings. I’m starting to think that they enjoy the chaos they create.
What if these decorations really scare someone or some children? Or what if an elderly person has a heart attack after suddenly seeing scary things at night? I know it’s Halloween but can’t be normal as other families in our neighborhood?
So I’m the only one who thinks it’s ridiculous? How do I approach them without sounding like a grumpy old lady?
Each year, no doubt, the family walks next to their Halloween decorations and frankly, he’s a fool!
Their front yard looks more like a scary entertainment park than something you would expect in a quiet neighborhood. Do we really need skeletons hanging from every tree, fog machines that will explode everywhere, and quite false cobwebs to feel like I am going to the worst nightmare spider?
I understand it’s Halloween, but there is no limit.? Several pumpkins and some simple, tasteful decorations should be more than enough! Instead, they feel as if they participated in the competition to find out who could give the neighborhood the greatest fear. I honestly think the chaos they do.
What if their decoration above the top really scares someone? What if they give seniors a shock infarction when they suddenly see all the scary things at night? I understand it’s Halloween, but why can’t they keep it simple, like everyone else?
Am I the only one who thinks gets it out of hand? How can I bring it to them without sounding like a displeasure?
In the end, it is not the destruction of Halloween entertainment, but about finding a balance between the use of a scary season and respecting the comfort of others. I would like the family, besides that, would think it would change a little so that their decorations do not come out of fun concerns. Halloween should be about fun for everyone, not a spectacle that causes some of us to go out. Maybe it’s time for a friendly conversation with them and see if they would be willing to make it worse – without sounding like a neighboring hum.
