Kathie Lee Gifford was hospitalized because of a fall while recuperating from her new hip substitution medical procedure, she tells Individuals only.
The previous Today co-have, 70, says she experienced a broke pelvis in two places and was hospitalized for more than seven days for non-intrusive treatment.
Gifford says she “moved 300 books without anyone else” during book signings in Nashville. “I debilitated my body,” she says. “It’s my own shortcoming.”
The following day, one of Gifford’s companions dropped by to get her. She rushed to the entryway and “recently stumbled,” Gifford says.
“It didn’t take a lot, since I was feeble there,” Gifford tells Individuals. “What’s more, the before you know it, I’m back in the clinic with a cracked pelvis, the front and the back. That is more difficult than anything I proceeded with the hip. The pelvis is amazingly excruciating. In any case, I’m right here.”

Gifford considers it a “lowering experience” and she decided to remain in the emergency clinic for an entire week since “I have little to no faith in myself.”
“You assume you know your body and the before you know it, your body changes when you age,” Gifford says. “What’s more, however much I don’t want to consider it, I’m.”
“It’s mid year for everyone except me,” Gifford says. “Yet, it’s alright. I will get out to my little homestead before long and stick my feet in my salt pool. The Master is letting me know now is the right time to dial back. I’ve been running for what seems like forever. The Master is telling me, ‘You’ve established a gazillion roses. Have a go at smelling them.’ ”
Recently, Gifford let Individuals know that her hip substitution medical procedure and recuperation has been “one of the absolute most difficult circumstances of my whole life.”
“It’s been truly hard,” she added.
The TV character required the medical procedure because of her dynamic way of life. She reviewed the specialist telling her, “You got over mountains, you made films, you got on stages. You never removed your high heels, and you continued onward and that is the reason you’re going through the thing no doubt about it.”
In spite of the difficult recuperation, Gifford doesn’t lament making every moment count.
“[I ask myself] could I change that? No, I was doing what God put me on this planet to do. Each extended period of it, I was doing what He called me to do,” she said at that point.
Herod and Mary
Gifford’s hospitalization hasn’t prevented her from commending the arrival of her new book, Herod and Mary: The Genuine Story of the Dictator Lord and the Mother of the Risen Guardian angel.
