Rain Man star Dustin Hoffman battled cancer in 2013 and came out on top.
However, despite this fact, he never really talked about his journey back to health.

Hoffman’s breakthrough performance came in the romantic comedy The Graduate in 1967, the same year he was nominated for his first Academy Award. The rest is history. He was thirty years old then. He has received many commissions over the years, which has brought him to the top of the male artist charts.
Among the films he appeared in were Kramer versus Kramer (1979) and All the President’s Men (1976).
Among the films that had a lasting impact on the actor was Tootsie, in which he played a man who disguised himself as a woman to get a role in a soap opera.
“They told me it’s as beautiful as it gets, so if I were to be a woman, I’d want to be the most beautiful.”, which permanently changed the way he saw women after learning that he was not considered very attractive.
Hoffman recalled, “I went home and started crying.” “I think I’m an interesting woman when I look at myself on screen, and I know that if I met that character at a party, I would never talk to her because she doesn’t physically fit the requirements that we’ve brought up. Think that women must have to be asked out.”
Hoffman claimed that although Tootsie made a lot of people laugh, he never found the humor in it, despite it becoming the second highest-grossing film of the year.
Hoffman won six Golden Globes and one Primetime Emmy in 1988, following his first Oscar win for Kramer vs. Kramer. Hoffman also won his second Oscar for Rain Main.
In 2013, he was at the top of his profession and in high demand, but for some reason, he stopped speaking.
Many of his admirers wondered where and why he was hiding, but only a few months after directing the British comedy Quartet (2012) and just after Chef (2014), in which he starred with Jon. Favreau and Sofia Vergara, it was finalized that the official revealed the reason for his withdrawal.
His spokesperson told People that he had been battling cancer but kept the fight quiet.
“It was detected early and he was surgically cured,” Gottlieb added. “Dustin is feeling great and in good health. He was rumored to be suffering from throat cancer.
