As the youngest of the four siblings, Lux has an older sister, Javier, and two older brothers, Nicolás and Pedro. Pedro, 17 years old, her senior, kindly remembers how Lux quickly became a dominant presence in the home.

“From the beginning she ruled the house.” When we visited my older sister, we felt like intruders, ”Esquire said. “Our mother was her mother, but for us, to think we were entitled to her attention, she was absurd.”
