Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd Unveil Name and Share First Picture of Their New Baby Son

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd’s family journey has been full of ups and downs, but they recently welcomed a new addition to their family.

There are now four members in the family of Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd! On Sunday, June 18, the couple posted a photo of them preparing to give birth for the first time at the hospital. “It’s time to go!” They traveled from Napa to LA in record time,” Maskim said in the Instagram caption, adding, “[Peta] is the amazing unicorn that she is and I can’t wait for the next one of her greatest inventions! He responded to his wife’s support, saying: “I can’t wait for all the happy tears to flow. She is an absolutely fantastic boy momma and she is about to bring another lucky one into this world.

Peta and Maksim started dating in 2012, broke up in 2013, got back together in 2014, and got engaged on December 5, 2015. They welcomed their first child, Shai Aleksander, on January 4, 2017, and tied the knot on July 8, 2017. On January 13, 2023, they announced their second pregnancy.

On Sunday, Maksim posted on Instagram for the third time, this time with a new member of the family, after uploading a picture with his father’s Father’s Day wishes on Saturday. Sharing a photo of himself holding his newborn baby, he said: “Happy Father’s Day!” in the title. His son’s face was covered in the picture.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy took a few days off from social media for a good cause but returned on Wednesday (June 21) to post the first real photo of his new baby boy in a beige suit and holding a matching bikini. The father-of-two revealed the identity of the youngster in a caption.

“John Chmerkovskiy from Rio. Born ~ 6/18/2023. A typical baby weighs 7 lbs. 6 oz. so they said in an Instagram post: “8.6 oz. and thriving.” “We are ecstatic to introduce each of you to our newborn son. We all feel incredibly complete because @shai.aleksander is already the best big brother. XO, life is beautiful.

On Thursday, June 22, more pictures came. Maksim Chmerkovskiy posted a picture of himself sitting in bed holding his baby on his left arm and an older child on his right. He called it his “new favorite picture of all time”. He’s a very happy big brother, judging by the look on his older son’s face!

On June 22, Peta Murgatroyd recorded a video on her phone of her husband holding the newborn while she lay in a hospital bed. “Do you think we need another one?” he turns to face her and says. Before making the selection himself, he repeated the question, “Okay, we’ll get one more.”

We’re not really sure if they really care about the next one since the video was made as a joke. What is certain is that they will adore this little child with all their hearts, especially in light of all that they have been through as a family in recent years. After a long and difficult process, they succeeded.

Rio John is what we call a “rainbow baby”, meaning he was conceived but not carried to term. It was the result of one cycle of IVF and three miscarriages in his case. In a Whole Foods restroom in 2020, Peta lost her first pregnancy. Then two more losses came for her.

Pete was eventually diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (POS), a disorder characterized by irregular menstrual cycles, excess testosterone, and/or polycystic ovaries. The couple began the IVF procedure after speaking to a fertility consultant and two months later progressed with the embryo transfer.

The arrival of Rio John brought immense joy and fulfillment to Maksim, Pete, and their family. They are grateful for the love and support they have received throughout their journey and feel blessed to have their sons, Shai Aleksander and Rio John, by their side. The couple’s openness about their fertility struggles and their rainbow baby story serves as an inspiration to others who may face similar challenges.

As their family continues to grow and evolve, Maksim and Peta are sure to cherish every precious moment. Their journey as parents, full of love, resilience, and gratitude, will undoubtedly shape their future endeavors and strengthen their family bond.
