Some couples seem destined to be together, and for Ed and Heidi Savitt, their love story is a testament to the power of fate. They first crossed paths in 2011 while studying at Newcastle University in the UK, but little did they know their connection was much deeper than their first meeting.
Ed found himself needing help with a home appliance, a common struggle for college students. In his case, it was the dryer that stumped him. In search of a solution, he decided to approach Heidi, who had previously lived in the same house. When Kay Parker, Heidi’s mother, first met Ed, she may have had a strange premonition that she somehow knew him.

At the party, which was also attended by Ed’s mother Fiona, Kay decided to make a casual delivery. She told a story about a cruise the family took to Turkey when Heidi was only six and she was so cute!
While they were on vacation, Kay recalled, Heidi had a sweet and cute “boyfriend” who happened to be named “Ed.”

During their two-week holiday in Turkey, the two adorable children played together and held hands.
Although Fiona broke a glass of wine at the similarity of the names, she agreed that it was a bit of a coincidence, but didn’t think much of it after that.
Kay, on the other hand, thought a lot about it after returning home, believing that she would know the truth once and for all.
Kay began searching the attic for old pictures of Heidi. Then, among her collection of pictures, Heidi discovered something interesting: a picture of Heidi and Ed from 20 years ago!
When Kay revealed to Heidi that she had forgotten about their childhood romance, Heidi’s eyes were undoubtedly wide with surprise.
Little six-year-old Ed was with her, and although he had a terrible, out-of-date bowl haircut, his face was instantly recognisable.
“I was screaming, it was just unbelievable,” Heidi commented. It is absurd to imagine that we might not have found out about this after we got married and started living together.
When Kay revealed what she had learned to Fiona, the mother of the bride exclaimed, “Oh my God, it’s Ed!”
Heidi had never considered the possibility of fate, but had since come to accept its existence. They had to find each other again by the magic of fate!
Heidi agrees and also now claims that the moment she laid eyes on Ed, she knew he was the one! Kay believes that when they first met, they intuitively knew deep down that they had already met and had an incredible time together.
