The heartbreaking final moments of a man dissolving in acid were caught on camera in Yellowstone National Park.
In June 2016, Colin Scott and his sister Sable traveled to the national park from Portland, Oregon.
In an attempt to find a place to “hot pot” – illegal swimming in one of the park’s thermal pools – the 23-year-old man and his sibling allegedly walked past the zone, which was marked by warning signs.
Unfortunately, Colin’s sister managed to get a video of his fatal fall into the hot spring.
With an area of ​​2.2 million acres, Yellowstone National Park offers tourists the opportunity to observe wildlife in a natural environment. It is estimated that three million people visit it annually.

Colin and his sister explored a limited area of ​​the park and filmed their experience.
While they were looking for a place to “warm up,” she caught the 23-year-old “deliberately” leaving the Norris Geyser Basin boardwalk, according to The Guardian.
According to NBC News, the two eventually arrived at a hot spring near Porkchop Geyser.
Colin was instantly boiled alive when he unfortunately slipped and plunged into the blue water.
According to an investigation into the incident, “the smartphone recorded the moment he slipped and fell into the pool and her efforts to save him.”
Sable apparently tried to save her brother but was unable to reach him in the terrifying moment caught on camera.
Colin’s sister fled the scene as there was no signal and sought help at a nearby museum. Unfortunately for Colin, it was too late when she and park officials arrived at the scene.
They said they saw pieces of his hands, upper torso, and skull in the hot spring.
“What appeared to be a cross was seen resting on the subject’s face,” according to an incident report from U.S. Park Ranger Phil Strehle, and the V-neck shirt was recognizable.
Due to the “volatile” thermal environment and the approaching storm, rescuers were unable to extricate Colin’s body.
His remains were gone when authorities returned the next day.
According to the incident report, “the consensus among the rescue/rescue team … was that the extreme heat of the hot spring, along with its acidic nature, dissolved the remains.”
The 23-year-old’s body is believed to have decomposed overnight and the only traces of his presence are his wallet and flip-flops.
Out of respect for Colin’s family, the film and description of its contents have never been released, although his tragic final moments were caught on camera.
