Monique Davaul’s journey to welcoming her triplets, Jihad, Mielle, and Noelle, was full of expectations, surprises, and moments of joy. From the initial shock of finding out she was expecting triplets to the eventual birth of her three beautiful children, Monique navigated each stage with resilience and excitement. Despite the challenges of a high-risk pregnancy and uncertainty about her children’s health, Monique remained steadfast in her determination to bring her triplets into the world safely. Supported by her loving family, including her twins Nasir and Sincere, Monique embraced the journey with grace and gratitude. When Monique welcomed her triplets into the family, Monique’s heart overflowed with happiness and love, marking a special milestone in her life that she will cherish forever.

Monique Davaul, 30, of Newport News, Virginia, was incredibly lucky to give birth to three beautiful babies on April 12.

Monique’s family of six already included twins when her triplets, Jihad, Mielle, and Noelle, arrived at the esteemed Riverside Regional Medical Center (RRMC).

Newborns needed specialized treatment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) after birth. But they made great progress and were allowed to leave in time for one of the most important holidays, Mother’s Day.

Since each baby was released from the hospital at a different time, there was a lot of anticipation on the way to reaching this milestone. Jihad and Mielle were able to return home earlier in the month, and Noelle completed the trio when she returned home safely on Friday ahead of the popular Mother’s Day celebration.

When Monique unexpectedly learned she was eight weeks along while preparing for her 30th birthday party, the journey to welcoming triplets began.

Monique fondly recalls the remarks of a perceptive colleague who, when she first didn’t know she had several blessings in her womb, casually remarked that she might be having twins or even triplets.

She was so intrigued by this idea that she went to the doctor to learn more about her colleague’s cheerful prophecy.

As soon as Monique heard the surprising news, she called her colleague and exclaimed, “You were 100% right! She said, ‘I’m expecting triplets,'” eager to tell her colleague the wonderful news. She needed to get in touch with the facility where she had booked her birthday accommodation.

She was shocked to learn that the Doctor carried not one, not two, but three irreplaceable lives.

Monique happily announced that to celebrate the great news that she was expecting triplets, she would be having an exciting ‘gender reveal’ event instead of a regular party.

Monique was already familiar with the difficulties and benefits of multiple pregnancies, having had twins in the past.

But this time, she discovered that she had already had morning sickness several times, which could mean she was carrying a girl or several children.

After reflecting on her experience for a bit, Monique spoke to Good Morning America about it.

She claimed to have experienced strong moments when she was ill, which gave her the impression that she was carrying a baby girl or more. At first, they assumed Monique’s news of the impending birth of triplets was a light-hearted joke as she picked up her three boys, who included six-year-old twins Nasir and Sincere, as well as her eight-year-old.

But once they found out, their interest was piqued and they started asking excited questions like, “Mommy, when are the babies coming?” Monique.

Monique’s twins, Sincere and Nasir, are always willing to help and she expressed her appreciation for that.

Monique took time off from work during her pregnancy and devoted herself to caring for her growing family for the next four months.

Scheduled check-ups were dutifully carried out every two weeks until that fateful day when her water broke and her babies were ready for the world.

The cesarean delivery of Monique’s triplets — two girls and one boy — was a first for RRMC. It was surprisingly the first birth of triplets at the hospital since 2018.

RRMC nurses expressed their happiness and excitement in a statement.
