Actress Melissa Gilbert, who won the hearts of viewers and quickly became famous, portrayed Laura Ingalls, the second oldest daughter of the family. Much like the rest of the cast. Before landing her job on Little House on the Prairie, Melissa appeared in commercials and a few small roles. Throughout the show, she appeared in other films such as The Miracle Worker and The Diary of Anne Frank.

Melissa was born in Los Angeles, California on May 8, 1964. Melissa was lucky enough to have actor Paul Gilbert and actress/dancer Barbara Crane as adoptive parents who taught her everything there is to know about the entertainment industry.

Melissa appeared in Secret & Lies and The Night Shift a few years ago and also starred in the short film One Smart Fellow in 2015. She also writes. Her life throughout the acclaimed series is chronicled in her memoir, Prairie Tale: A Memoir.

The first step was to get rid of the employees left behind by the previous owners. The plumbing needed to be repaired and vermin and mold removed.

They installed red vinyl chairs, renovated the closet, and heated the whole house with wood.
