A Connecticut prankster destroyed the life of a six-year-old boy by setting him on fire. The second boy poured a tennis ball in gasoline, set it on fire, and then threw it in the face of the six-year-old victim, setting him on fire. Despite the fact that the young victim, Dominick Krankall, survives the terrible attack, he is not out of the woods, as he is suffering from severe second and third-degree burns on his face and legs.
“My six-year-old brother might have died.” The kid soaked a ball with gasoline, lit it on fire, and threw it at him. “It happened in a matter of seconds,” Kayla Deegan, the victim’s sister, wrote on a GoFundMe page. “He’s going to be scarred for life, both mentally and physically.”
Dominick, a young boy, was playing with other children in the backyard of his family’s home on Louisiana Avenue in Bridgeport, Connecticut. When one of the children decided to play with fire, he was with other children who are reported to be renters at the residence.
According to Deegan, an eight-year-old neighbor came into the property and broke into the shed, where he collected gasoline, lighters, and the tennis ball he later threw at Dominick’s face. When the bully threw the ball at Dominick, according to his sister, he “ran away and watched him burn.”
Dominick, according to John Cappiello, a hospital spokesperson, “remains in fair condition.” The boy is fortunate to live near the Connecticut Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital, one of only sixty-two comparable institutions in the entire United States of America.
Deegan was furious because her brother had been attacked.
“(The attacker) has a history of bullying and has gotten away with quite a lot.” His mother believes he is not guilty. “The family thinks it’s a joke,” Deegan wrote. “Even though Dominick couldn’t speak because he was so swollen and in so much pain, he told my mother, ‘Please don’t take me back there.'” This is completely unjust and should never, ever happen to a child!!! Dominick deserves justice.”
Authorities have yet to pursue charges against the eight-year-old prankster who threw a fireball in the face of the six-year-old child.
Deegan told NBC New York about the attack and her wish for authorities to intervene to bring her brother to justice.
“Knowing the family is horrible and terrible. “Nothing is being done,” Deegan told the news channel. “This needs to be seen everywhere so that everyone knows Dom’s story and what he had to go through in order for someone, hopefully, to do something.”
Dominick’s parents are praying for the best for their son. Donations can be made to them online. They want to put the money toward hospital fees as well as finding a new safe home to live in. Anything, even a small donation, helps. “I’m sure Dominick appreciates it,” the family stated, thanking everyone for their assistance.
