The longstanding rivalry between Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen seems to have taken a personal and peculiar turn.
The conflict between Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan has persisted and seems to be intensifying. And a little stranger.
The two former Chicago Bulls may have made basketball history in the 1990s by teaming up to win six NBA Championships. However, the two have infamously never gotten along personally, and now that Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa is dating Jordan’s son, Marcus, His Airness is not at all pleased.
Although Marcus, 32, and Larsa, 48, have been a couple on Instagram for five months, we haven’t learned what MJ thinks of his son dating his ex-teammate ex-wife throughout that time.

Well, Jordan just made his opinions about his son’s connection with the Real Housewives of Miami star perfectly known in a scathing post-dinner speech in Paris.
The 60-year-old NBA legend was questioned by a TMZ photographer as he was leaving dinner at Matignon in the French capital about Marcus dating the OnlyFans model and whether he approved of the relationship.
Jordan’s response? A firm “No” was expressed. Jordan only shook his head when the photographer repeated his question, probably looking for a little more clarification from the six-time NBA champion. That ended the matter.
If this is Jordan’s position on the topic, Larsa does not seem to agree, as she recently stated on the Tamron Hall Show, “I feel like, we’ve spent holidays together and it’s fine. We’re at a fantastic location. My parents or his parents are not the issue. Everyone is joyful. My entire family is doing well.
The couple discussed their extended families on their Separation Anxiety podcast only last month, and Jordan said, “I don’t believe there were ever any impediments, I just think there was some shock value to the fact that we were dating. perhaps caught some members of my family on the wrong foot a little.”
Before becoming Instagram official in January with a photo of the couple in front of a wall exhibit of one of Marcus’ dad’s famed 23 Chicago Bulls jerseys, Larsa and Marcus had been rumored to be dating for months.
After nearly 20 years of marriage, the 48-year-old and Scottie Pippen finalized their divorce in December 2021. Both in 2016 and 2018, the couple divorced. Together, they have four kids, including Scotty Pippen Jr., who last year played a season on a two-way deal with the South Bay Lakers of the G League and the LA Lakers.
The disapproval expressed by Michael Jordan towards his son’s relationship with Larsa Pippen adds another layer to the complex dynamics between the two basketball legends. While Jordan’s opinion on the matter is clear, it remains to be seen how this personal situation will evolve and whether it will have any lasting impact on the longstanding rivalry and history between these two iconic figures in the world of basketball.
