The coronavirus outbreak isn’t giving Michelle Obama or her daughters the time of their lives.
Former First Lady Michelle Obama lamented how difficult the lockdown has been for her and her girls during a visit to Conan O’Brien’s show. Sasha and Malia are not thrilled to be staying at home with their parents, although she is happy to spend so much time with them.
Although Michelle Obama was enjoying the “early stages” of the stay-at-home arrangement and the family was “excited to be together,” the children quickly became upset. Soon Sasha, 22, and Malia, 19, were “itching” to go back to college and get back to their regular lives.
“We were all organized and we spent our days apart working – the girls were still in classes in the spring – so we worked and then got some exercise and then got together in the evening,” she remembered. These are the things we would do. After we had cocktails we played games and solved problems.
The family engaged in many fun activities and games.
“Barack showed the girls a game of spades. We had a few objects arranged. For example, we once had an exhibition where we all painted watercolors and then put them on display,” she noted.
The good days are gone quickly.
“Well, Conan, that was just the beginning. Our kids may have bored us a little at first, but that was okay because we already bored them. Summer came and allowed us to spend a little more time outside.” Eventually, we arrived at the vineyard where we are now and the extra space allowed us to spread out which suited us.
Sasha and Malia are attending online, even though they didn’t return to school as planned.
Children are currently returning to Zoom Land classrooms. They work remotely. And they’re not as excited to come here as they used to be,” she said.
