Heather Boyer is a mother who as of late gotten a text expressing that her little girl was dating an individual of color, and she admitted that she didn’t have any idea how to answer from the get-go. When you see what the text said, you’ll promptly see the reason why she didn’t have any idea what to at first say.
Heather took to web-based entertainment a short time later to share what occurred.
“Today my little girl changed her profile picture. After perhaps 5 minutes I get a text … ‘ I didn’t realize she was dating a dark kid, did you?'” Heather started. “It took me the entire day to brainstorm a reaction, which I didn’t send by and by yet figured I would share for any other person that ‘may not be aware.'”
“Indeed truth be told I knew, yet the shade of his skin doesn’t characterize what his identity is,” she proceeded. “What characterizes who is he is the means by which he treats my little girl.”
“Nothing to joke about in my book),” Heather composed. “It’s dependably Yes Ma’am, No Ma’am, we discuss football and baseball, he lets me know by when he leaves and has not once shown me an absence of habits or regard.”
As a mother, I observe my daughter dating a young man who treats her with utmost care and respect. He cherishes her company, takes her on thoughtful dates, to ballgames, and to dine out, prioritizing meaningful experiences over mindless partying on weekends.
What warms my heart is seeing my daughter’s partner include her in his spiritual journey. They attend church together every Sunday, and he actively participates in the band while she joins his extended family for support and bonding. It’s rare to find young men these days who genuinely commit to their faith, and this sets him apart from the rest.
The most significant relief for me is knowing that he doesn’t engage in harmful behaviors. He never raises his hand to hurt her, uses abusive language, deceives her, or causes her tears. It’s crucial to me that she is treated with kindness and dignity, regardless of race or ethnicity.
I would never compromise her happiness by encouraging her to date someone solely based on race. What truly matters is how he treats her, respects her, and cares for her well-being. In the end, love knows no boundaries and cannot be confined by skin color or background.
“So that is my reaction to the inquiry I was posed,” Heather finished up. “Furthermore, I realize individuals have their own viewpoint, yet by the day’s end, the way that my girl has somebody that cherishes her and deals with her like a sovereign satisfies me. That is something I’ve never had in my life and I’m happy she does.”
