The uplifting beginning to the story was posted by a grandmother’s daughter-in-law on Reddit. It had been three weeks since they started using her mother-in-law’s help to look after her baby when she returned to work after maternity leave, she said.
However, the fateful day would change both her ability to care for the child and her attitude towards her mother-in-law. And it all started innocently enough when she checked on her babysitter as usual.
A baby’s mother was “appalled” by what a nursery camera revealed.
The mother, who said her child was still breastfeeding, further said that she arranged to pump milk for her young son and gave her mother-in-law bottles so that the child could be fed during the day. On weekends and after work, his mother nursed him after he had his daily dose of pre-expressed milk.
The toddler’s mother went on to call the whole experience beautiful and mentioned how they formed a unique bond with each other during feeding time.
She revealed that she was sticking to her decision and that she and her husband went for nanny interviews the following weekend.
