Pros & Cons

Pros
  • Amazing OLED Display
  • Good battery life
  • Very fast speed
  • Good Processor & Connectivity
  • Android 12
  • Great main camera
  • Overall, an excellent performer
Cons
  • As opposed to a metal frame
  • In place of a telephoto lens, a depth-sensing camera was used

The first thing that you’ll notice about the Motorola Edge+ 2022 is how light it feels in your hand and in your pocket.

Despite its larger size, it has a smaller footprint than other smartphones and features an ultra-thin design without sacrificing performance or functionality, making it very easy to use with one hand and simple to slip into your pocket without feeling bulky.

At just 0.34 inches thin and weighing only 4 ounces, this phone can easily be slipped into your pocket or purse so you can take it with you everywhere you go, whether you’re running errands or hanging out with friends.

Introduction

The Motorola Edge+ 2022 is a great phone with a few quirks. It’s a solid phone with good performance, a great camera, and a beautiful display.

However, there are a few things that could be improved. The battery life could be better, the design could be more stylish, and the software could be more user-friendly.

The Motorola Edge+ 2022 is a solid phone with some flaws. It has great build quality, a wonderful display, and performs well in most areas. However, there are still some problems that detract from what would otherwise be an excellent phone.

The battery life could be better, which means you’ll have to charge it more often or bring an extra charger if you plan on using your device for any length of time away from home.

The software also needs work. Although it is much improved over previous versions, I was sometimes confused as to how to accomplish simple tasks like changing settings or opening certain apps.

Furthermore, although Android 12 is now available on Motorola devices, users of the original Moto X were forced to wait over 6 months before they received their update…

Overall, the Motorola Edge+ 2022 is a great phone that is worth considering if you’re in the market for a new device.  If it wasn’t for the poor battery life, I would give this device five stars.

If you can overlook this flaw then the Motorola Edge+ 2022 will provide years of dependable service and enjoyment. Let’s dive into the full review of Motorola Edge+ 2022.

Pricing

The Motorola Edge+ 2022 is priced at $999 and now it costs $799 at a discounted price. For that price, you get a Snapdragon 888 8 Gen 1 processor, 8GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Plus, there’s 5G support and a 50-megapixel main camera. The phone is also IP68 water-resistant and has wireless charging.

The Motorola Edge+ 2022 looks similar to last year’s model, but there are a few big changes. First, it has an OLED display that supports 144Hz refresh rates.

Second, it has 5G support and is priced at $799 (Discounted Price). This is an aggressive price point that makes it stand out from other phones, but you need to get on AT&T’s 5G network if you want to take advantage of its speed.

Design & Build Quality

The Motorola Edge+ 2022 is a well-built phone. It’s got a solid aluminum frame with Gorilla Glass on the front and back. The screen is curved and extends to the edges of the phone, giving it a modern look.

The fingerprint sensor is built into the power button on the side of the phone, which is convenient. However, there are a few downsides to the design. First, the camera bump is quite large and makes the phone wobble when you set it down on a flat surface.

Second, the bezels around the screen are quite thick, which makes the phone look dated compared to other phones on the market. The Edge+’s 2022 design has some pros and cons.

The front of the phone has 2.5D curved glass on top of an aluminum frame that makes it feel really premium in your hand.

However, if you look closely at where it bends you can see that there are lines between each pane of glass, which kind of ruins how seamless everything looks.

I would have liked to see one large piece of glass here instead of two pieces slightly overlapping with small gaps in between them.

Aside from that, however, I like how they designed everything else on this phone – even down to just little things like having rounded corners on each button on every screen so they don’t cut into your fingers when pressing them.

Display Quality

The Motorola Edge+ 2022 has a great display. It’s big, bright, and has great viewing angles. However, there are a few things that could be improved. First, the bezels are a bit too thick.

Second, the display isn’t quite as sharp as some of the other flagship phones on the market. Third, the auto-brightness feature is a bit too aggressive and can sometimes make it difficult to see the screen in direct sunlight. Despite these flaws, the Motorola Edge+ is still a great phone with a lot to offer.

The Motorola Edge+ has a 20:9 aspect ratio display with small bezels on all sides. The Motorola Edge+’s display offers excellent viewing angles with vivid colors and deep blacks.

The resolution is 1080×2400, which results in a sharp 393 pixels per inch (PPI). That’s lower than other flagship phones like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8 Plus, but it’s still higher than most of your other options.

It’s also lower than that of its predecessor, which sports an impressive 540 PPI. In practical terms, though, you won’t notice much of a difference between these two displays.

They’re both great for reading text and watching videos.  If you have trouble seeing the details in small types or thin lines, then this might not be the best option for you.

Camera Quality

The Motorola Edge+ 2022 has three cameras on the back, and they’re all pretty good. The main camera is a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, and it takes great photos.

The other two cameras are a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a depth 2-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and both of them are also quite good.

The only quirk is that the telephoto camera doesn’t have optical image stabilization, so you’ll have to be careful when using it. The phone also camera on its front, and it is pretty good too.

The main selfie camera is 60-megapixels with an f/2.2 aperture, and it takes great photos with a sharp field of view that captures your whole face if you don’t move too far from it.

This means that in low light situations where you want to use some bokeh for a better background blur effect, there isn’t much room for improvement over its normal photo quality; still, it’s not bad either!

For videos, there is a 4K recording as well as stabilization for smooth video capture. One thing I didn’t like about this camera software was its inconsistency – sometimes swiping from one screen to another would cause lag and crash – so avoid multitasking if possible!

I recommend you use it when you want to capture more than one person or something else in your photo – for instance, for group selfies! While not useful for much else, it can be fun to mess around with sometimes!

When recording video, there’s 4K support as well as stabilization for smooth video capture – although honestly, I didn’t notice any differences when comparing footage from my other phones.

Software & Performance

The Motorola Edge+ 2022 is a powerful phone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 8 Gen 1 (4nm) processor and 12GB of RAM. The phone ran smoothly during my testing, with no major slowdowns or hiccups.

Apps opened quickly and games ran without any issues. I did notice that the phone got warm when gaming or using other intensive apps, but it wasn’t too hot to the touch.

The battery life was solid, lasting me through a full day of use with some left over. The Motorola Edge+ 2022 runs Android 12 out of the box and has a few cool features, including Google Lens integration. There is also an app drawer that you can use to sort your apps, making it easier to find what you need.

The phone comes with Motorola’s Moto Display feature, which shows notifications on-screen while it’s asleep. The camera software is fast and has several useful features to get good-looking shots quickly and easily.

As someone who takes a lot of photos with their phone, this was a nice change. Some of the best features include pano mode where you just tap one point and then drag it around to create a panorama; zoom mode for close-up shots; and night shot for taking clear photos at night time.

It does take about 10 seconds for each photo after clicking the shutter button before it actually takes the photo, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time if capture images in succession.

Overall, the Motorola Edge+ 2022 is a solid phone with good performance. There are a few quirks, but nothing that’s a dealbreaker.

User Interface & Sound Quality

The Motorola Edge+ 2022 is a great phone to buy in 2022. The user interface is fantastic, making it easy to use the phone and navigate through its many features.

However, the sound quality is not as good as other phones on the market, and there are a few areas where the phone could be improved. Overall, the Motorola Edge+ 2022 is a great phone that is worth considering if you are in the market for a new device.

The user interface is one of my favorite features of this phone. The apps are easy to load and navigate, so getting things done with your device is simple.

I especially like that you can change themes easily if you want to spice up your device’s look or make it easier to read in certain situations. One thing I don’t like about it is that it occasionally crashes, making you restart before you can do anything on your phone.

It’s not too difficult to reboot, but it does slow down your productivity sometimes when trying to get things done quickly. My biggest issue with phones these days is poor sound quality. When I’m talking to someone on the phone, they usually say they can’t hear me well because I am sounding fuzzy.

With Motorola Edge+ 2022 Review, the sound quality is a little better than some of the other devices I’ve used in recent years. But still, it isn’t nearly as clear and crisp as other phones out there.

Battery Life & Charging

The Motorola Edge+ 2022 has great battery life. It has a 4,800mAh battery life. I was able to get through a full day of use without having to recharge.

Even with heavy use, the phone only needed to be charged every other day. The included charger is fast and charges the phone quickly.

If you do run out of battery and need to recharge, you’ll get your phone back to full charge quickly. Motorola includes their Fast Charger with your purchase and it does its job well.

In just 20 minutes, I was able to get 50% of my battery life back, which is much faster than some other phones on the market. That isn’t really a problem as there aren’t any real alternatives that can do better anyway.

Even without their Fast Charger, charging speeds are still quite good so long as you don’t mind waiting an hour or so for a full charge.

As mentioned before, the battery life, in general, is very good, lasting all day with heavy use. Overall, the battery life on this phone was good and should meet most people’s needs.

Overall Verdict – Should You Buy It?

The Motorola Edge+ 2022 is a great phone with a few quirks. It’s solid and has good performance, but it doesn’t have the very best camera. The battery life is also not the best, but it’s still a good phone.

If you’re looking for a solid phone with good performance, the Motorola Edge+ is a great choice. The best place to buy it is on Amazon. However, if you’re looking for the best camera or the best battery life, you may want to look elsewhere.

If you’re looking for good performance and excellent screen resolution, it’s hard to go wrong with the Motorola Edge+ 2022. However, if you need a phone with an exceptional camera or battery life, there are other options out there.

The Motorola Edge+ 2022 is one of my favorite phones out right now because of its nice design and smooth performance. It has fast wireless charging so you can quickly charge up your battery when it’s running low and has some cool voice assistant features that I like to use at home and work.

One thing that could be better about this phone is the camera quality. It isn’t quite as good as some other models, which can make it difficult to take clear pictures in certain situations.

All things considered, though, I’m pretty happy with this model. Overall, though, it’s still a great phone.
