Introduction

When comparing smartphone features and prices, you can’t beat Motorola’s Moto G200. With its 8 GB internal memory, powerful quad-core processor, and impressive battery life, it competes head-to-head with high-end smartphones like Samsung Galaxy A53 5G at a fraction of the cost.

Motorola has truly outdone itself with an affordable phone that will please even your picky users. Motorola made a lot of smart choices when designing their latest flagship device, but they also missed some key opportunities to improve on an already great product.

After you’ve had your Motorola G200 for a while, it might be time to upgrade to something more powerful and capable. But, if you’re not interested in shelling out a couple of hundred dollars just to get more memory or better camera quality, there are plenty of cheap smartphones with incredible features and performance that will fit right into your budget.

In order to help you make an informed decision about whether or not it makes sense to keep your current device, we decided to put together a list of some of our favorite low-cost and high-cost alternatives.

We’ll also discuss why you might want to consider keeping your Motorola smartphone instead of upgrading it. Let’s dive into the detailed review of the Motorola G200 5G!

Price & Configurations

At just $358 (for 128GB of storage), Motorola’s G200 is impressively affordable but comes with a few drawbacks. To start, there’s no microSD card slot—though it does have 128 or 256 GB of built-in storage, respectively—so you’re stuck with that space limit unless you buy a whole new phone.

In addition, its 8GB of RAM means that multitasking performance can be sluggish at times; however, Motorola has optimized its software to ensure that most people won’t notice any lag.

Finally, while it has an excellent camera for a smartphone in its price range, it isn’t as powerful as some other smartphones on our list and will occasionally struggle in low light settings.

Design

The Motorola G200 is a great low-cost smartphone that packs a respectable punch. Motorola has revamped its Moto line of smartphones, which means there’s a lot to look forward to. It’s attractive, lightweight, and easy to use.

The Motorola G200 is about as basic a smartphone design as you can get without being an Android phone designed for developing countries. On one side you have your SIM card slot, No microSD card slot, and micro USB charging port.

On the other, you have your volume rocker, power button, No headphone jack, and camera lens. While it’s not necessarily beautiful or flashy, its simplistic design makes it easy to use and incredibly lightweight at just 7.1 ounces!

If you’re looking for an inexpensive but high-quality phone, then look no further than the Motorola G200! This device performs well at all levels; it has a long battery life, a decent screen size, amazing photo quality, and speedy data speeds. Overall it’s an excellent choice for any level of user – beginner or expert alike.

Display quality

The Motorola G200 smartphone is a great deal at $350 unlocked and contract-free, but its screen isn’t nearly as high quality as other low-cost smartphones. At a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels, it offers average brightness and contrast and average pixel density.

That said, given how affordable it is, Motorola did an excellent job with the display quality. Just don’t expect to be wowed. Although its overall display quality isn’t nearly as good as other low-cost smartphones, it does an excellent job of displaying colors.

And its screen is large, which is perfect for media consumption and gaming. Even though its pixel density isn’t very high, the text is still incredibly sharp and clear. So if you plan to use your phone to watch movies, play games, and read emails, you’ll have no issues with the display quality.

Brightness levels are average. You won’t be able to see content on it in direct sunlight, but it does an excellent job of displaying content indoors or at night. Given that its resolution is only 1080 x 2460 pixels, colors aren’t nearly as vibrant as they are on more expensive smartphones.

That said, Motorola did a great job of keeping them accurate. Blacks aren’t as deep as they are on higher-quality displays, but whites don’t wash out either. Contrast also falls short of what we expect from higher-end devices. But once again, given how affordable it is, Motorola did an excellent job with display quality overall.

Specs & Performance

The Motorola G200 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ 5G (5 nm) octa-core processor clocked at 2.4 GHz, which is coupled with an Adreno 660 GPU, and 8 GB of RAM or 128/256GB of storage. As far as performance goes, there are no hiccups to be seen in day-to-day usage.

Apps open quickly, games run smoothly and multitasking is seamless. Even while playing PUBG Mobile on high settings without any frame drops, I could play music from Spotify in another window without any issues whatsoever. It’s easily one of the most powerful phones under $400 you can buy right now!

Great value for money, great build quality, and amazing specs make it perfect for those looking to upgrade but don’t want to spend too much money. Great value for money, great build quality, and amazing specs make it perfect for those looking to upgrade but don’t want to spend too much money.

Overall, there’s no denying that it offers great value for money. In particular, you have a lot of choices when it comes to picking out a device under $400; in fact, Motorola offers two different versions that are perfect for people with slightly different needs.

So if you’re on a budget but want to make sure you get your money’s worth in terms of both performance and features, keep reading for our review of the Motorola G200.

Camera Performance

Although you can never truly expect a camera on a phone to be as good as one in a standalone digital camera, there is no doubt that modern smartphones are capable of taking excellent photos. We were pleasantly surprised by how well we could take pictures using Motorola G200.

Not only does it come with a 108-megapixel back-facing camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, but it has 4X zoom for even better viewing options and takes 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. It also comes with an LED flash feature so you don’t miss out on any moments.

If you’re looking for a smartphone that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, then look no further than Motorola’s latest entry into their budget line of phones, called Motorola G200. Sure, it doesn’t have a super fast shutter speed or many special effects you can use, but that’s not what it’s designed for.

It takes well-lit photos with very little grain and gives you an overall good idea of what’s in front of you. If you’re looking for a smartphone camera that won’t bust your budget or leave you feeling like you wasted your money, then Motorola Moto G200 is a perfect choice for you.

Software & Features

There are two versions of Motorola’s software, one for Gingerbread and one for Ice Cream Sandwich. Though it’s not as graphically pleasing or exciting as some other Android skin jobs out there, it does get you to where you need to go quickly and efficiently.

If you’re new to Android (or just new to Moto), it will be a little disorienting at first, but it’s not difficult to learn where things are once you do. Motorola G200 has Android 11, which is upgradable to Android 12.

For example, Motorola’s Active Notifications feature allows users to see notifications without unlocking their phones by swiping down an icon in their status bar. This is very useful if you have your phone in your pocket and want to check if you have any missed calls or messages without having to pull your phone out every time.

It also saves battery life by allowing users to access only what they want when they want it rather than constantly running apps in the background that they don’t use regularly.

Motorola’s voice control features allow users to say OK Google Now, then ask questions like how many ounces are in a cup or how far away from home they are.

These features work well enough, though they can sometimes take several seconds to load and aren’t always accurate. When combined with Motorola’s low price tag, these features make for a great overall smartphone experience for anyone who’s upgrading from a feature phone.

Call Quality and Battery Life

With a smartphone, you want two things: call quality and battery life. When it comes to making or receiving phone calls, Motorola G200 delivers. I could hold onto the signal even in remote areas and never had any dropped calls. Not only that but voices came through clear as crystal.

And when it came to battery life, well… I couldn’t kill it if I tried. Even with heavy use, Motorola G200 lasted more than 24 hours before needing a recharge. Motorola G200 has a 5000mAh big battery life. Motorola Moto G200 is perfect for those who are looking for a low-cost smartphone with great performance.

A Solid Phone at an Unbelievable Price! The big battery life is important because I travel a lot and it allows me to always have it on me whenever I need it. It also makes sure my phone will last all day no matter how much I use it.

Motorola G200 Performance is better than other smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S10 Edge Plus and iPhone 8 Plus. Motorola G200 is not expensive and affordable for everyone. If you’re looking for an affordable smartphone with good performance, Motorola G200 is a good choice.

Final Verdict – Should you buy it?

If you’re looking for an inexpensive smartphone, but don’t want to compromise on performance, and you’re not interested in buying a secondhand or refurbished phone, then I highly recommend buying Motorola Moto G200.

It’s not just one of the best phones, it’s one of my favorite budget smartphones overall. And with its amazing price tag, it’s a great value for money as well! What I like most about Motorola Moto G200 is how it performs for its price. For $350, you can get a superb phone with good battery life, an excellent screen, and a stylish look.

It doesn’t have some of that fancy stuff that high-end phones have, but it gets everything right in terms of performance and most importantly it feels great in hand. I was also surprised to see how well-built and solid feeling it is considering its price. All things considered, Motorola Moto G200 is one of my favorite smartphones on the market today!
