I have always believed that love and marriage were to be these permanent bonds, based on trust and determination.
But nothing could have prepared me for what happened that night when everything I thought I knew about my relationship collapsed. It all started as gently, almost as a whisper – small cracks in the foundation I ignored.
But the moment I entered the mattly illuminated jazz club with my best friend Lola, my world would be turned upside down. What I saw that night that Logan did was something I never thought he was capable of. And that was just the beginning.
In this way, the reader is immediately interested in what is to come increasing the tension.
I never imagined my marriage to end like this, but my husband, Logan, made a public spectacle of the disaster that was our relationship.
Things began to disintegrate, and our struggles with the pregnancy of the child took a bigger tax on us than I originally realized. My mental health was spiraling and I felt like a failure.
Last night my best friend Lola convinced me to leave the house and have fun to clean my head. Logan said he stayed late in the gym, so we went to a cozy, slightly illuminated jazz club in the city center. The music was beautiful but quite quiet for conversation.
When I suddenly fell silent, I laughed and felt better. Her eyes spread when she stared around me.
“Natasha … don’t do, but … is it logan?”
Cold washed at me, and when I turned, I knew exactly what I would see. My husband was at the corner table with a young woman draped over her shoulder.
That was the last thing I had ever expected, and although I was never the type that would cause the scene, I couldn’t help myself.
“Natasha, it’s time,” he said unwillingly.
“Logan,” I tried to talk, but cut me off.
“Look, Natasha, it’s better that you know now. I don’t have to hide it, ”he said almost carelessly. “I’m in love with someone else.
Just like that. No hesitation. No regrets. I wanted to scream, cry, slap him, but somehow I just stood there, dull.
Lola grabbed my arm and murmured that Logan regretted it, and then led me out.
The next morning, exhausted barely from sleep, I decided to confront him. Maybe he came to his senses.
When I arrived home, he was there, standing on the veranda with Brenda at his side and smiling as if he had just won the prize. I got out of the car and tried to keep my peace, even though the humiliation burned deep inside.
I started gathering my stuff, put their clothes and things in my car’s trunk, determined to disappear in front of them. But when I turned, the elegant black BMW pulled out and got out of Mr. Duncan, Logan’s grandfather. Looked confused.
Mr. Duncan was hard and built a family fortune out of nowhere, so his expectations were high for his children and grandchildren. I was afraid of what would happen when he saw the scene: My things on the lawn, a strange woman on the porch, and Logan anywhere in sight.
“Logan, honey, come here!” Brenda called and fought.
“What the hell is going on here?!” When Logan came out, Mr. Duncan’s voice came on and his mouth was open.
“Grandpa, we didn’t know you were coming today,” Logan said, swallowing hard. “That’s a private affair, you wouldn’t understand.”
“Logan, I could be old, but I know exactly what’s going on here,” Mr. Duncan replied in his deep voice. “I didn’t want to believe my eyes.”
“Grandfather,” Logan tried to protest, but he didn’t get another word.
“It looks like you threw my favorite sister-in-law, and you live with it … a woman. Mr. Duncan asked, and I didn’t feel bad when Brenda was called.
“Grandpa, Natasha, and I … we’re done. They don’t belong here anymore, ”Logan said, and his face pale.
Mr. Duncan did not suffer. “I say Natasha remains and you are leaving. From now on, will I cut you off from any crisis of middle life and a golden dredger? ”
“Grandfather!” Logan begged.
“To leave. Now.”
After Logan and Brenda left, Mr. Duncan invited me in and explained why he had come.
I nodded, tears fell on my face.
He was still in the same clothes as the day before and looked worn out.
“I made a mistake. I have nothing. My family won’t help me. Can you call me my grandfather? He listens to you, ”Logan blurred, no preamble.
And that’s when I had to say words I think everyone in my position dreams say, “No! It was a cliché and rough, but at that moment it felt so satisfying. Maybe I feel bad for him later, but he got what he deserved for now. What did he expect? It was just a justified brat!
I hope this reformed version corresponds to what you meant!
In the end, Logan got exactly what he deserved. His actions were selfish, disrespectful, and heartless, and I didn’t want to let him escape. I have learned that sometimes, leaving toxic people, even if they are family, is the only way to regain your peace. I do not know what the future has, but I am determined to proceed forward, stronger and more confident in my value. I faced humiliation and now it is time to rebuild my life according to my conditions – not regretting, no apologies.
