Why doesn’t the remote control work?

Next, take the old battery and use a pair of pliers to cut off the top of the positive side to make it easier to place in the “fake” battery. It is a small, concave metal object.
Then carefully slide the new battery in, making sure the small piece is on the positive side. Place the battery next to the remote control to see if it works.
Normally this method should work as already proven. But be careful – it’s only a short-term ruse.
While you can save battery for a few days, it’s better to fix the problem permanently as soon as you have the chance.
Another method of fixing the remote control

Activate the remote control. This can be done with a thin knife by prying the case shell to the side or by loosening the small screws in the battery compartment.

Make a decoction of alcohol vinegar and water.
Dampen a clean cloth, preferably a soft microfiber cloth, with a small amount of this mixture.
Never put water or vinegar directly on the rubber part of the contacts!
