husband should have let her have his seat and got one for himself, i’m sure his mother would have made room for HIM. say your sorry to your stupid mother-in-law and let is go. you be the bigger person in this. if she is at other family gatherings, just ignore her – i mean pity her she can’t find a man for herself and has to hang on to yours.
The husband should have long ago stopped the inviting of his ex. And should have told his Mother if she was invited to family affairs then he and his Wife would not be attending. That it made him feel uncomfortable, that way there would be no blame on his wife, so his idiot mother would maybe Stop. Or maybe the husband likes to be the center of attention. If so he and his wife need a heart to heart talk about who he really wants to be with!!
