This naked baby was lying on the stairs, and almost everyone ignored her.
Now and again in life we sometimes encounter things so strange that we think, no of course not! But this is definitely one of those cases, very sad too!
A photographer, known as ‘A.J.Laberinto’ took some truly heartbreaking pictures, sure to make you sad to your stomach! Around May 2014, the photographer was walking the streets of Manila, Philippines, when he saw something he really had to capture on film!
It’s still hard to see pictures, but they should be shown to everyone and shared, even if just to raise awareness and see the dark side of humanity, the side we want to eradicate! A little boy, completely unclothed, lay right in the middle of the street, on a bustling public staircase, and it seemed like every passerby just carried on without lending him a hand.
Photographer Laberinto was lost for comment and was shocked by what he saw with his own two eyes! No one but a passing glance at the passing boy.
Everyone is used to seeing homeless kids on the streets, and begging on the streets for what seems like a fleeting moment to them all as if it’s just a normal everyday occurrence… Photographers said on Facebook. You see, lately, I’ve been strolling in Manila taking every picture that was in front of me although not that many. So there I was, within seconds the baby was lying on the floor not dead but just asleep. Passers-by already knew how to react when they saw too many street children and beggars and just walked away.”
“After taking pictures, I then asked some familiar people in the crowd, people literally within steps, to see where the baby’s parent was, and a slightly withdrawn woman in dirty clothes came and immediately took the baby away. All this in seconds. I bought him baby food, by the way, four days ago and he’s still living on the streets to sleep in the only bed he’s ever known.” The cynicism and sadness of some people who are used to seeing this on the streets every day is heartwarming and terrifying! It really shows how inhuman some people in the world are.
