Entertainer Susan Buckner, most popular for playing team promoter Patty Simcox in the 1978 film Oil, has passed on at age 72.

“It is with significant bitterness that we report the death of Susan Buckner, most popular to the moviegoing public as essential, effervescent team promoter Patty Simcox, who featured inverse John Travolta and the late Olivia Newton-John in the 1978 crush melodic Oil,” an assertion from Buckner’s family imparted to Fox News on Tuesday, May 7, read.
