The National Weather Service said Monday’s high temperature in Omaha was 9 degrees above average at 98 degrees Fahrenheit. Even higher temperatures are inside the cars. Even if it’s not too hot outside, the temperature inside the car can rise by more than 40 degrees in one hour.
Ryan Williams, a business owner and driver, is a retained employee. He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning to answer to a charge of negligent child abuse resulting in death.
Ra’Miyah Worthington, 1, and two of her siblings were picked up by Williams the day she died. The Kidz of the Future Child II Child Development Center was planned as a destination for children’s daily activities.

When they got to the center, Williams pulled the two children out of the van, but it is said that he was preoccupied with the wailing youth and forgot to bring Ra’miyah as well. He went after her when he realized she was gone, but it was too late.
The child was taken to Nebraska Medical Center but died a short time later.
Omaha police quickly shut down the daycare while they investigated.
“The Department of Health and Human Services has the protection and well-being of children as a top priority and we are working with law enforcement as they deal with this unfortunate loss. Additionally, pending further investigation, a temporary closure order has been placed on the facility, a DHHS official told 6 News.
The girl’s father, Rianna Worthington, explained that the daycare was raising children in the early hours of the morning. “My problem is, how can you overlook the child you personally placed in the car while removing the other two?” How can you forget one when you’re taking two out of the van? Why did you overlook my child?
Worthington told WWOT’s 6 News, “The nursery has an app.” “They will talk to you about their kids all day. She never got cleared. Put two and two together because only one of the three people we sent was cleared. My child had to be left in this car.” from this morning by you.
To help the parents with funeral costs, friends of the child’s family have set up a GoFundMe page.
The page received more than 1,100 donations totaling nearly $35,000 in just three days.

“Her family has been permanently damaged due to the irresponsibility of the childcare provider. I am asking everyone who is able to donate to do so, even if it’s just $1, to help with funeral arrangements, household expenses, and care for another 5 of Ra’ Miya’s siblings, the site reports.
In a moving display of grief and frustration, Ra’Miyah’s mother led a protest outside the kindergarten. She joined a group of concerned individuals seeking answers and justice for her beloved child. “My baby didn’t come home. Her siblings did. She didn’t. How did you all forget about her? You picked them all up and took them from the van. How did you all forget about my baby?” ?” she demanded during the protest.
