On my departure from San Diego to Nashville yesterday, sitting in the line close to me was a 96-year-elderly person who hadn’t flown in 15 years. For her birthday she needed to go to Kansas City to see her family yet she was terrified of flying.

She requested this man’s hand during departure and afterward embraced him again while encountering disturbance. This noble man I ought to say, readily grasped her hand, let her clutch him, quieted her by conversing with her and making sense of all that was occurring, and just was that more unusual there for her. He knew exactly what to do the whole trip to help. He helped her rise up to go to the bathroom and watched her cautiously stroll down the passageway.

He held her sack, assisted her with getting off the plane and into the wheelchair, and when she got befuddled pondering where her little girl went (she called her sister), he remained with her until she found her girl who got isolated from her. She was appreciative to the point that she believed him should have her flight pretzels. Caps off to you sir, for your good nature and your sympathy toward somebody whom you’ve won’t ever meet. This genuinely made my week.
