A Closer Look

The OnePlus 10T is the latest flagship smartphone from OnePlus. It’s packed with top-of-the-line specs and features, making it one of the most powerful smartphones on the market. But how does it stack up in real-world use?

We put the OnePlus 10T through its paces in our long-term review to find out. One thing that’s hard to get over when using this phone is just how quick it is. Not only can you swipe across apps or even open them quickly, but they also respond almost instantly – no matter what you’re doing.

There are a few moments where I noticed lag time but these were all during benchmarking tests (an area where OnePlus seems to have had some issues). As always, OnePlus has done an excellent job with the camera software and photo quality.

There are plenty of modes to choose from, including night mode and slow-motion video recording; however, there are no front-facing cameras here so don’t expect any selfies or video chats.

Plus, there’s a massive 6.7 screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9 which means it will still be usable in landscape mode when watching videos or playing games.

If you’re looking for a high-end phone without breaking the bank, then the OnePlus 10T is definitely worth considering. Let’s dive into the full review of this latest OnePlus Flagship!

Pricing & Configurations

The OnePlus 10T starts at $599 for the 8GB/128GB model and goes up to $649 for the 16GB/256GB (Our base unit) configuration. There are only two color options available: Moonstone Black, and Jade Green.

It is expected that OnePlus will offer different colors as they have in previous years. If you’re coming from the last OnePlus 10 Pro or any other previous OnePlus device, you’ll immediately notice no headphone jack on the OnePlus 10T.

However, do not fret, as a standard 3.5mm USB-C adapter is included in all retail boxes. Overall, it’s an excellent device for that price!

Design and Build Quality

The OnePlus 10T is a beautiful phone. It has a sleek design with a glass back and a plastic frame. The front of the phone is all screen, with thin bezels and a small notch at the top for the selfie camera. The phone feels great in the hand and is very well-built.

The body is made from plastic and glass, but it doesn’t feel like it’s fragile or cheaply made like other high-end smartphones on the market. It’s also surprisingly lightweight considering how large the screen is (6.7 inches).

The OnePlus 10T also comes with a fingerprint sensor that works well. One of my favorite features is the button layout – there are no buttons on the right side, which means that you don’t have to worry about accidentally pressing something when using your phone one-handed.

However, I do wish there was a dedicated power button rather than having to double-click the volume-down button to turn off your device. The OnePlus 10T has some impressive specs as well! It’s fantastic overall.

Display and UI

The OnePlus 10T features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The OnePlus 10T has a very bright and vibrant display with excellent viewing angles. The colors are accurate and the contrast is very good. The Sunlight legibility is also very good in this. OnePlus has managed to get close to 100% sRGB coverage which makes for some vivid-looking images.

OnePlus phones have always had great displays and this one is no exception. It’s also nice that it supports HDR10+ content although there isn’t much of that out yet on Netflix or YouTube. One thing we noticed right away was how warm the display was.

Colors were more saturated than they would be on most phones, especially those without any sort of color management mode enabled. In addition, everything seemed oversaturated, leading to inaccurate colors and poor viewing angles.

The UI navigation was fluid but not as smooth as we’re used to seeing from OnePlus with their gesture navigation system. We found ourselves double tapping often because the response wasn’t instant.

Apps open quickly, though scrolling can lag at times while using social media apps like Instagram or Twitter due to animations loading after tapping a link.

OnePlus’s slogan is never settled and it’s clear that OnePlus put effort into making sure users don’t need to settle when it comes to performance compared to other flagships like the Galaxy S22+.

Performance and Software

The OnePlus 10T is one of the fastest and most powerful Android smartphones on the market. It’s packed with top-of-the-line specs, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (4nm) processor, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.

Plus, it has a large 6.7-inch display with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. As for software, the 10T runs OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12. So, you’ll have a clean version of Android without any bloatware or unwanted apps.

We do recommend installing Google Chrome as your default browser though. Some of the other preinstalled apps are less than stellar too. For example, when we tried to open up Fortnite from the app drawer, it asked us to download another game called War Robots in order to proceed.

In terms of performance, the OnePlus 10T is blazing fast. Apps open instantly and there’s barely any lag whatsoever when switching between screens or launching new programs. However, this smartphone doesn’t come with wireless charging, so if that’s something you’re looking for in a phone then be warned.

Additionally, while battery life is impressive at first, the OnePlus 10T will only last around 8 hours after heavy use and 13 hours after moderate use.

Overall though, if you’re looking for an affordable flagship that won’t let you down when it comes to performance then the OnePlus 10T should be at the top of your list!

Camera & Lens

The OnePlus 10T features a triple-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The camera is capable of shooting 4K video at up to 60fps and 1080p video at up to 240fps. The OnePlus 10T also has an impressive 16MP front-facing camera.

OnePlus took a lot of time fine-tuning its camera setup, and it really shows. The OnePlus 10T can be used for some great portrait shots as well as action shots.

While some users may prefer having a dedicated ultra-wide angle lens, most will be perfectly happy with how well these cameras work together to create stunning photos.

One downside to the OnePlus 10T’s camera might be that the images are sometimes over-saturated or a little too hot looking, but this can easily be fixed in post-processing.

Another minor gripe about the OnePlus 10T’s camera might be that it doesn’t have optical image stabilization like other flagships on the market, but thanks to fast autofocus and electronic image stabilization, this isn’t as big of an issue.

Plus, the OnePlus 10T has better low-light performance than many competing devices due to its large pixel size (1.5μm). Overall, the OnePlus 10T’s camera does not disappoint and produces quality pictures from both back and front-facing shooters.

Overall, OnePlus’ photography prowess is excellent and one of its best features. If you’re looking for a camera on par with some of Samsung or Apple’s offerings, then you should definitely give it a shot.

Notable Features

The OnePlus 10T is a new flagship phone that has been dubbed the flagship killer. It’s packed with high-end specs and features, making it one of the most powerful phones on the market.

But how does it hold up in real-world use? A OnePlus 10T Specs will be helpful for those who want to know more about what this phone can do.

These include its great battery life, incredible screen, fun camera features, and other awesome extras like Face Unlock. On the other hand, there are also some downsides like no headphone jack or water resistance.

With amazing specs and extras like the Screen Unlock feature, Face Unlock, and Nightscape Mode, you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck with this phone.

It may not have as many bells and whistles as some other top devices, but if you’re looking for pure power, this is a great choice. Overall, the OnePlus 10T is an excellent phone for anyone looking for a top-of-the-line device without breaking the bank.

Battery Life & Charging

The OnePlus 10T comes with a massive 4,800mAh battery which is one of the biggest we’ve seen on a flagship phone. Not only does it have great battery life, but it also charges incredibly fast.

In our testing, the OnePlus 10T lasted for just over 12 hours on a single charge with little heavy use. With moderate use, you can easily get two days of usage out of this phone.

I was able to play video games and browse through social media without having to worry about charging my phone during my work day. As expected, there’s no wireless charging included here and OnePlus doesn’t offer any sort of quick charging either.

However, I was still able to get from 0% to 55% in 20 minutes using the OnePlus Dash Charge adapter that comes with every OnePlus device. Overall, the battery life is very awesome!

Overall Verdict – Should You Buy It?

The OnePlus 10T is a great phone. It has top-of-the-line specs, a beautiful design, and an excellent camera. It’s also very fast and has great battery life. So, should you buy it?

I think so. In my opinion, the OnePlus 10T is the best smartphone available right now. If you want to save money but still get all of the bells and whistles that come with flagship smartphones then this is the phone for you!
