‘Pawn Stars’ Corey Harrison Makes Plea to Fans After Near-Fatal Accident

Corey Harrison, widely known for his longtime role on the reality TV show Pawn Stars, is reportedly asking fans for help after being hit with major medical expenses following a serious motorcycle crash in Mexico.

The 42-year-old TV personality suffered several injuries in January when he lost control of his motorcycle. Reports shared with TMZ say the crash left Harrison with 11 broken ribs, a concussion, facial injuries, and other complications doctors described as potentially life-threatening.

Because of those injuries, he was also unable to attend an important family moment — the wedding of his father, Rick Harrison.

Hospital Stay Shortened Because of Rising Costs

Harrison initially spent around two weeks in the hospital recovering from the crash. However, reports say he decided to leave earlier than doctors advised because the medical bills were quickly piling up.

That choice created further difficulties during his recovery.

While resting at his home in Tulum, Mexico, Harrison began suffering intense pain. A house doctor was called to assist him and gave him IV fluids and morphine to help ease the symptoms.

At one point, his oxygen levels reportedly fell to a dangerously low level, leaving him fearing for his life.

Emergency Operations and a Prolonged Hospital Stay

Unable to afford returning to the hospital where he was first treated, Harrison was reportedly taken by friends to a more affordable medical facility.

There, he underwent three separate surgeries and remained hospitalized for another 18 days while doctors worked to treat complications from his injuries.

By the time the situation was over, the total medical expenses had risen sharply.

Medical Expenses Approach $120,000

Harrison told TMZ that the entire medical ordeal has cost him close to $120,000 so far.

He said the financial pressure has been overwhelming. According to Harrison, after borrowing money from family and friends to cover treatment, he now has only about $400 left in his bank account.

To help pay the remaining expenses, Harrison has started a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe, asking fans and supporters for help.

Speaking about his situation, Harrison reportedly said:

“What am I going to do, fly back to Vegas and sell things? I can’t even get out of my recliner.”

No Longer Featured on Pawn Stars

Harrison was a longtime member of the Pawn Stars cast, the reality series centered on the well-known Las Vegas pawn shop operated by the Harrison family.

While he still receives occasional residual checks from reruns, reports suggest he is no longer actively appearing on the show.

Meanwhile, his father, Rick Harrison — who has reportedly built considerable wealth from the success of the series and other business ventures — offered a brief remark to TMZ about his son’s situation.

Recovery Continues

Harrison is still recovering from his injuries, though his movement remains limited as the healing process continues.

For now, his main focus appears to be regaining his strength while coping with the financial fallout from the crash — a challenging period for the former reality TV personality who was once a regular face on one of cable television’s most recognizable shows.
