People Share 10 Unexplainable Experiences That Seem Like Scenes From a Movie

Although almost everything that comes to our mind has a rational explanation, there are some events and situations that leave us speechless.

People were asked to post strange and incomprehensible experiences from their lives in a Reddit thread. Reading these stories is like watching a great thriller, horror, or detective story. It sounds like a plot from a movie script, but real individuals have experienced things like reading a message from the future, forgetting an entire day of existence, or discovering your boyfriend’s secret in a dream.

Make yourself a cup of tea or coffee, wrap yourself in a nice blanket, and get ready for an adventure into the unknown – here at Bright Side we’ve picked ten stories from this thread for you.

A letter with a future date

My mother came to live with us for a few days a few years ago when my wife was expecting our second child.

One day early in the evening, Mom asked for an envelope, paper, and a pen. I got the paper she wrote on sealed in an envelope. Do not open this; put it in your pocket instead. When you know,” she remarked.

After thirty minutes my wife said she was in labor and it was time to go to the hospital.

So we did, and our second daughter was born at 3:45, approximately nine hours later. She was twenty inches long and weighed eight pounds, eleven ounces.

Since this was before cell phones, I contacted my mother from the hospital to share the good news. As soon as she picked up the phone she said:

“Before you say anything, open the envelope. Yes Yes. It read: “Girl 3:45, 8 lbs, 11 oz, 20 inches”

That paper has been with me for years. I went to the safe for the documents where we kept them after my mother died, but he was missing.

The invisible woman

My son used to come into my room when he was not even three years old and tell me that “the lady” was in his and his sister’s room. I urged him to curl up in bed with me when I was half asleep and I ignored it.

He then went to my bed but woke me up every few minutes to tell me about “the lady”. And he said, “She was at my bedroom door.”

So I pick him up and lead him out of my room in the dark, trying to convince him that there is no lady there and that we should go to bed.

“See, there’s no lady here,” I note as we stand in the hallway. “Mommy, it’s right there,” he says, pointing down a hallway where there’s absolutely nothing to see. That’s the woman! And he lives here.”

Where he pointed there was nothing—not even a shadow. I took him back to my bed and when he fell asleep I tried not to look scared and thought to myself, “Okay, she must be a nice lady.” I lay awake for hours wondering if this “lady” was hanging out in my century-old apartment watching me sleep. @kookenhaken

Prophetess of pregnancy

One night I dreamed that friend 1, a former co-worker with whom I often don’t get along, was expecting a baby.

In the dream, I was back at my former workplace and they were telling me that I would cover for her. I thought, “Oh no, I left you all last year and went to a new place.” She was quite pregnant when she came and said, “Oh come on, it’s only when I’m on vacation.”

I joked with my husband about how horrible it would be for me to leave the place and have to come back because it felt weird.

It seemed to me, maybe a week later, that Friend 2, someone I don’t talk to very often, was also expecting.

Next week I run into friend 1 somewhere and we joke about how I had a funny dream about her being pregnant. He informs me that he is waiting and they have not told ANYONE yet.

I brush it off with a smirk and then confide in my husband.

“Didn’t you think girlfriend 2 was pregnant? You should call her,” he says jokingly. Friend 2 and I are too old to start over and we both have older kids so it’s even fun. I shrug my shoulders.

The next day I tell friend 2 on the phone about the humorous dream. Turns out they didn’t tell anyone she was pregnant too. totally crazy.

Creepy vehicle

I was following a car that was the exact same year, make, and model as my own, but it was a different color on the way home from work. We both join the turn lane a little further up the road and head left onto a long straight road that has wide fields on either side. I wait for a car to pass before I turn onto this particular road and follow the car in front of me. Less than five seconds had passed.

However, the car in front of me disappeared from view as I turned onto the road. Since there are no turns on this long straight route, you can see quite a distance ahead of you. The car just disappeared and the thought is still running through my head.

The car definitely didn’t turn. They couldn’t complete the turn without doing a three-point turn or going partway into the field because the roads were quite small.

The car that looked like mine was nowhere to be seen as I entered this road and realized that the car was no longer in front of me. Instead, I saw another car speeding behind me. That route had no places where the car could stop so I could see it. @omglookawhale

I am aware of your name.

I was waiting in line at Target. In the checkout lane in front of me was a mother with her (I assume) three-year-old child. I have never met them in my entire life. A mother approached a shopping cart with a toddler inside to help unload it.

The child stares at me, laughs, smiles, and says my first name twice, quite clearly. It was weirder because my original name was unusual. @mycenea1961

The whole memory

In a dream I had as an adult, I told my mother about this place I had been. It had two floors, two bedrooms, an L-shaped staircase and brown color.

I described this mansion from my dream in great detail.

In any case, the home I’ve outlined seems to be where I was born. Unlike born, born. I was born in a hospital, but my family moved out of the house they lived in two years before I was born when I was only seven or eight months old.

At first, I believed my brain might have picked it up from the pictures I had seen, but to be honest, none of the pictures we had when I was that young showed the amount of detail.

Since it was mostly close-ups, the background wasn’t visible much. To this day, the best explanation I can think of is that my brain occasionally recalls distant, old memories; other than that, I have no idea how I could have found out about this property, let alone its layout and amenities. @AnxiousRiddle

Messages that are summarized

While I believe it’s a coincidence, it’s still strange.

I can call (for lack of a better term) a guy to text me. He is a particular boy who was one of our closest friends when we were 12 or 13 years old. When we left for high school, we kind of stopped hanging out.

Sometimes I consider texting him and usually hear back from him within ten minutes. It’s pretty weird and it only affects this one boy. After a year of not talking, he randomly messaged me just as I was considering reaching out to him again. When I asked him why he sent me the message, he explained that he experienced a strange compulsion that almost compelled him to do so. It’s quite strange, although it’s most likely just a coincidence. @imwhittling

A day I don’t remember

I went to bed Wednesday night about six o’clock. It was Friday when I woke up. When yesterday was Wednesday, I asked my mom why today was Friday.

Apparently, she said, yesterday was Thursday.

The last thing I remembered doing on Thursday was going to bed on Wednesday, so I asked her what she did. She said a few things, but none of them rang true for me. I never figured out why I forgot about that Thursday. Simavok

An unexpected gift

My mother had financial problems and was going through a difficult time. two children and a single mother.

He barely had enough money to cover his bills, but he was anxious about them. Unfortunately, that meant we had no money. She put a lot of effort into her career and worked several shifts at the hospital.

Still, this particular month was tough. She begged for help while sweeping. When she turned to empty the trash into the bin, a clean $100 bill was precisely placed on top of the filled trash can. No one shared our home with us. She could never figure it out. @poshfiend

Tucked away in the open

Once I brought the crucial paper home, I misplaced it. they searched everywhere. After two weeks I decided to call the company and ask for a copy.

On the day I wanted to call, I came into the kitchen and took out a lunchbox from the fridge.

After grabbing my phone in the living room, I went back to the kitchen to prepare some food in the microwave. There was a missing paper on top of my lunch container.
