Phil Donahue, a groundbreaking figure throughout the entire existence of TV, has died, abandoning a heritage that has formed the universe of daytime syndicated programs as we probably are aware of them.
Brought into the world in 1935, Donahue started his vocation in media during the last part of the 1950s, filling in as a neighborhood columnist in his home territory of Ohio.
However, it was his noteworthy work as the host of his eponymous syndicated program, “The Phil Donahue Show” — later just known as “Donahue” — that solidified his place in TV history.
