On June 15, Kate made a graceful return to public life amid an ongoing battle with cancer, joining the royal family to celebrate the king’s official birthday.
The Princess of Wales dazzled in an elegant white ensemble and drew admiration for her poise and charm. And while everyone was happy to see her, many observers and online commenters were worried and saying the same thing.
Kate was friendly and waved to the crowds as she and her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, received cheers from onlookers on The Mall. They left Buckingham Palace in a procession of carriages for the Trooping the Color ceremony.
After battling the diagnosis and undergoing chemotherapy for most of the year, the future queen looked good. She traveled with her family in a glass bus along one of London’s most famous avenues.
Fans showed admiration for the Princess of Wales’ strength and praised her stunning presence. “It’s wonderful to see Catherine again but I hope she continues to take her time to fully recover and also regain her strength and endurance,” one person wrote.
Another added: “Gorgeous! Beautiful princess getting royal by the minute.” Someone else said: “So beautiful, so royal! Welcome back, we’ve missed you!”
Many other fans were concerned for the Princess of Wales and noticed that she was not at her best. One person commented: “She looks beautiful as always but you can tell she’s not well. I hope she doesn’t put too much pressure on herself and goes back to taking care of herself away from the public eye after this.” Another user commented: “You can see the sadness in her eyes and her children’s eyes,” while a third also commented that “she looks miserable…”
