In a case that left many questioning the depth of parental despair and the vulnerability of the foster care system, two young children were reported missing under alarming circumstances.
The sudden disappearance of Willow, 2, and Wyman Bryant, 4, sparked an intense search as law enforcement and concerned citizens scrambled to find the siblings. A shocking revelation about their abduction follows,
leading to a story that is both tragic and disturbing. An Amber Alert has been issued, but the twists and turns in this case would leave the public baffled as to the identity of the suspects involved.
Siblings Willow Bryant, 2, and Wyman Bryant, 4, who were reported missing on August 14, 2024, have been located by authorities, although the exact location remains undisclosed. The California Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert shortly after.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the children were taken by their biological parents, Tiffany Bryant, 39, and David James, 53.
The children were placed in foster care in the past year after the birth of their youngest sibling tested positive for drugs. Both parents have since been arrested.
The Amber Alert for the missing children read: “ HAVE YOU SEEN THEM? Two-year-old Willow Bryant and four-year-old Wyman Bryant are missing.’

Nina Glass, director of a Texas nonprofit that assisted in the search, told Newsweek that the parents took Wyman and Willow during a supervised visit to the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) in South Los Angeles. The couple left the building through the emergency exit, leaving behind their youngest child, just 15 months old.
“They’re people who can live off the grid if you want.” They prefer to stay in remote areas,” Glass said of the parents. “State parks, RVs, rest stops, truck stops — they’re nomadic and they live out of their car. They don’t have a permanent address.”
UPDATE: WILLOW and WYMAN have been located and are SAFE!! Thank you all for your help. #TheWAREFoundation

It wasn’t the first time Bryant and James kidnapped their children.
The first incident occurred last summer when their third child was born, and the children recovered two months later. They were reportedly granted supervised visitation rights following the incident.
The case of Willow and Wyman Bryant highlights the complex and often heartbreaking reality of child custody and abduction. Fortunately, the children were safely located and authorities said the parents, Tiffany Bryant and David James, are now in custody. While this incident represents another chapter in their troubled history, it also underscores the importance of vigilant oversight in child custody and visitation cases. As Willow and Wyman return to safety, their futures remain uncertain, but their recovery offers hope that the system can protect children in the most challenging of circumstances.
