The heartbreaking revelation that five individuals on board the vessel are believed to have died tragically emerged last week after the wreckage was discovered, indicating a catastrophic loss of a pressure chamber.
After it was revealed that the lost submarine Titan likely suffered this fate, people were confused as to why the Titanic did not collapse when it sank.
Tragic news broke last week that 5 individuals on board the ship were said to be “sadly lost”. This was followed by the discovery of debris that was “consistent with the catastrophic loss of a pressure chamber”.
The submarine Titan, which was transporting 5 individuals to the depths of the ocean to view the wreck of the Titanic in person, was 370 miles off the coast of Newfoundland and located 3,800 meters below sea level. The estimated cost of the trip was £195,000 per person.
After losing contact with its mother ship, the MV Polar Prince, about 1 hour 45 minutes into the ship’s two-hour submergence, it disappeared on the morning of 18 June.

Stockton Rush, CEO of OceanGate Expeditions, the company that owns the submarine and organizes tourist trips, was on board. Next to him stood British billionaire Hamish Harding, Pakistani millionaire Shahzada Dawood, and his 19-year-old son Suleman. Paul-Henry Nargeolet, a French submarine pilot and one of the leading authorities on the Titanic, was the sixth passenger on board.
Search efforts increased significantly once officials realized they were rapidly running out of oxygen after the submarine lost contact.
Authorities had reason to hope after learning that the plane had heard “underwater sounds in the search area.”
ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) activities were moved to determine the source of the noise. The Coast Guard reported that the ROV search turned up nothing, but was still ongoing.
A second aircraft with underwater sensing capabilities also reportedly heard a “bang”.
However, the Coast Guard later acknowledged that the sounds were likely simply “ocean background noise” following the devastating discovery of the wreckage.
Sky News asked Rear Admiral John Mauger to elaborate. “We have taken that material and given it to the best specialists in the US Navy and the Canadian Navy who are working to analyze this information and will continue to work on it.
Most of the sounds that were produced, according to initial reports, were sounds of the ocean, but researchers are still searching for all available information. The fact that since that discovery we have been searching the regions where the noise was detected with the ROVs that we have at our disposal is essential to me and to the unified command. We are not waiting for the results of this study before acting.
“The analysis is really helpful to our overall search and rescue efforts,” he said, “but we’re not waiting for it. We have already moved the remote-controlled vehicles we had on-site to the areas where the noise was detected. .”
A video illustrating what it would look like was created on TikTok in response to the tragic news that the submarine had most likely experienced a catastrophic implosion.
Viewers can watch the vessel being torn apart and crushed in a video posted by @sincerelybootz.
The narrator states, “It is very immediate as to the lives that may be on board.”
Another video posted by @starfieldstudio shows the OceanGate Titan crashing to the bottom of the ocean after collapsing like a can while walking. The metal then cracks as the submarine implodes, leaving nothing of the submarine intact.
“The hull would instantly heat the air inside the submarine to about the temperature of the sun’s surface as the wall of metal and seawater smashed one end of the ship against the other, all in about 30 milliseconds,” text that appears above the footage states.
Jesse Kelly tweeted: “I have a really stupid question.” “How come the Titanic is sitting on the bottom and largely undamaged when the water pressure is so bad?”
As usual, Sean Davies responded to the question on Twitter with the following statement: “The wreck is not pressurized so there is no pressure difference.”
More simply, it means that the submarine imploded due to a pressure difference between the inside and the outside.
IFL Science quoted Professor Arun Bansil: “A submarine feels a force on its surface due to water pressure when it is deep in the ocean. The ship implodes violently when this force exceeds what the hull can tolerate.”
When an object’s internal pressure is lower than its external pressure, it can implode if the object can no longer withstand the force.
However, it turns out that certain parts of the Titanic actually served this purpose, such as the stern, which collapsed at a depth of about sixty feet.
However, some parts were spared due to the air leaking from the ship, which caused the pressure inside and outside to equalize, preventing implosion.

Before being sent to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after being discovered unconscious in a New York home, Madonna posted a disturbing message on social media.
The news was released just weeks before the celebrity was set to kick off her 84-day “Celebration” world tour to mark the 40th anniversary of her career.
As updates continue to emerge regarding the fate of the lost submarine Titan and the ongoing investigation into the implosion phenomenon, the world remains enthralled by the mysteries of the deep sea and the lingering questions surrounding the fateful sinking of the Titanic.
