The world was shocked when news broke of Randy Travis’ stroke. A well-known performer paid tribute to the late George Jones at the Grand Ole Opry. As he did so, blue and purple lights shone at him.
Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, and Travis Tritt were some of Travis’ associates. Mary, Travis’ wife, has made public revelations about her husband’s devastating stroke and how devoted and caring fans have been during this difficult time.
In July 2013, Randy Travis was taken to a hospital in Dallas due to problems with viral cardiomyopathy. He fell into a coma after brain surgery and a stroke. The country and gospel legend had a one to two percent chance of survival, according to doctors.

As a result, further efforts to save his life were fruitless.
His wife, Mary Davis Travis, had the choice to simply turn off life support and let her husband sleep. The doctors specifically asked her the question. How did she want to proceed?
She, on the other hand, decided not to obey all the norms. Instead of going with the flow and listening to the doctors, she tried something unexpected.
Even though the chance of survival was only one to two percent, Mary thought her husband was a fighter. Turning off the respirators was simply not an option for her.
According to Mary, she asked God to let her have him back in any way, shape, or form.
Mary didn’t think about shutting down Randy’s machines, even though he was so frail he looked like a skeleton, and Randy continued to be tangled up in a maze of cables.
Then one day a miracle happened. Randy stood up.
Since his stroke, Randy has been confined to a wheelchair, but is making progress and can now walk a short distance on his own. He also started playing music and is passionate about it.
In 2016, he was given an induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame after regaining the ability to walk.
Currently experiencing aphasia, Travis has no doubt been trying and praying to regain his previous level of competence, if the performance that follows is any indication.

Amazingly, he continued to do so despite the stroke. Mr. Travis, you have a great talent! It still gives me chills. I feel and hear his suffering and wish him well.
He showed us that anything is possible if we believe in ourselves and never give up hope.
I am humbled by the power of the Lord! Randy Travis was a man that has gone up and down in many ways and means! But he was always using music as prayer. God watch over this talented man. Amen!
Amazing, just simply AMAZING.
God’s grace and blessings to you Mr. Travis
Wonderful, beautiful and amazing. Only by the hand of precious JESUS. Thank you God.
