His transformation was so convincing that even a tourist from Paris was wrong with someone in need, he didn’t quite know that he was in the middle of filming a powerful film that would reveal the hard reality of life on the streets.
While he was filming time out of his mind in New York, Richard Gere was wrong with the homeless tourist from Paris. The 2014 Film was introduced by Gere and Kyra Sedgwick and Steve Buscem.
A 74 -year -old renowned actor described a mentally ill man who found himself living on the streets after being evicted from his apartment.
For one of the scenes, Gere dressed in torn clothes, sitting on the sidewalk, when around thousands of people walked, they didn’t completely know about his presence.
“I was the first shot – over 40 minutes – and neither man made an eye contact with me. “I was in one of the busiest parts of New York. If I were there like Richard Gere before I was recognized I wouldn’t last 30 seconds.”
He added: “People’s perception filled the gaps based on my body language and where I sat and led them to create an inaccurate story in their minds.”
Director Oren Moverman thought about this experience and no one gave him a penny.
After the release of the film, Gere used Co-Star Social Media to share her thoughts. Wrote:
“Hi, Richard Gere. I was totally surprised to learn that someone had published their photo on a Facebook fan page last week, dressed as a homeless on New York streets …”
