The Keating family was struck by devastating tragedy when Ronan Keating’s brother, Ciaran Keating, tragically lost his life in a car accident.

Ciaran Keating, brother of Ronan Keating, has died following a horrific road accident.

Ciaran, 50, died on Saturday, July 15 after a collision with another car in Ballymiles, near Swinford, County Mayo, Republic of Ireland.

Cork City Football Club addressed the unfortunate tragedy in a statement.

“Everyone at Cork City FC is deeply saddened by the passing of Ciaran Keating, father of our player Ruairi Keating,” they said.

Our deepest condolences to Ruairi and the entire Keating family at this incredibly difficult time. Peace be upon him.

“We ask that the family’s privacy be respected at this difficult time. Funeral plans will be confirmed as soon as possible.

The Mirror says Ronan rushed back to Ireland to help his family after the devastating accident.
