Kevin Richardson, known as the “Lion Whisperer,” saw a mother lioness scratch her cubs’ necks and throw them out. He was aware that he had to intervene on behalf of infants who would not survive without the support of their mothers. Seven years later, Kevin was going to see the devoted cubs again because he had taken a liking to them.
By this time, the cubs had grown into stunning lionesses who could hunt on their own. As Kevin points out, because prayer capture is ingrained in them, they don’t really need to be taught how to do it.
He was a bit nervous about approaching his old friends. But as he notes, he uses instinct rather than strict rules when dealing with big cats because he can sense their reactions before he finds them.
Kevin and his team found one of them, decided to film the reunion straight from the source, and wrapped a GoPro around her belly.
One of the most spectacular exchanges between a wild animal and a human has been caught on camera. This lioness is willing to go into the water for her savior because she has so much faith in him.
She approached the water in a way that reminded Kevin of the stance these animals took before attacking their prey, but Kevin knew she wouldn’t harm him as her only goal was to be with her companion.

Kevin is aware that times like these justify all his sacrifices. Although he had previously suffered scrapes and punctures, he was not disheartened and decided to continue working with these amazing animals because, in his words, “Obviously one is aware of the dangers of working with animals of this caliber, I weighed the pros and “I weighed the pros and cons far outweigh the cons.”
