Shaquille O’Neal caused a wave of concern among his fans when he shared a photograph of himself lying in a hospital bed.
The towering Newark native, standing at an impressive seven feet and one inch, and renowned for his illustrious NBA career with four championship titles, appeared connected to various medical machines. Naturally, this prompted speculation about his well-being. Accompanying the photo, O’Neal humorously wrote, “I’m always watching @TurnerSportsEJ and @Candace_Parker, miss y’all,” triggering a flood of comments and inquiries.
However, O’Neal decided to put everyone’s worries to rest and unveiled the true reason behind his hospitalization in his trademark playful manner. He joked that he was undergoing a procedure known as a BBL treatment, playfully referring to a “Brazilian butt lift,” evoking laughter from many.
“To all the interested parties. In the beginning, let me just say thank you,” he said in his March 20 Instagram post. Finally, I’m alright. Just had to take care of some BBL, or #hipreplacement, work. but no need to worry, I’m OK.
As was to be expected, this made a lot of people laugh. One of his followers wrote, “Lol Sending get well wishes for a speedy & healthy recovery.” In the meanwhile, someone called the NBA player “Cheekquille O’Neal.”
He is regarded as one of the best athletes of all time due to his outstanding career.
