Beloved Twelve-year-old member of The Late Late Toy Show Saoirse Ruane has passed away from cancer.

His family announced this morning that the fun-loving Galway boy whose appearance on the Toy Show captured hearts across the country died on Tuesday.
In November 2019, Saoirse was diagnosed with cancer after complaining of an ankle injury. The discovery of a malignant osteosarcoma tumor in her tibia led to her leg being amputated in 2020 and may be fatal.
Saoirse’s story gained notoriety when she appeared on the 2020 Late Late Toy Show with Ryan Tubridy.
Everyone marveled at her strength and resilience as she battled an unusual form of bone cancer.
Saoirse’s parents, Rosena and Ollie, and her younger sister, Farah-Rose, are saddened by her death.
“After a long and courageous and noble battle, our hearts break that our beautiful little Saoirse breathed her last in our arms on Tuesday,” they said as they announced their tragic loss to the world.

In November last year, Saoirse’s family released new “devastating” health news, saying her cancer had progressed during treatment.
They said when they discovered a recurring tumor in his left lung in early 2023, they were “extremely shocked” to learn the cancer had migrated to another lung
The fact that Saoirse needed more chemotherapy became her “biggest fight ever.”

“Little did they know their world was falling apart again,” Rosena said in April.
“To say we’re devastated just doesn’t cover it,” he said. He has fought hard and fought a lot; It is not appropriate.

Saoirse’s funeral will take place at St Peter Paul’s Church in Kiltullagh on Saturday at 1:45 pm.
It added, “Saoirse will be reposing at home on Friday, March 8, from 2 pm until 8 pm.”
