Celebrity dad Shemar Moore finds joy in fatherhood, honors his late mother
Shemar Moore, the famous actor and heartthrob, embraces the incredible journey of fatherhood with open arms and a heart full of love. He and his girlfriend Jesiree Dizon welcomed their beautiful daughter Frankie into the world on January 24, 2023, and Shemar is already enjoying every moment of this new chapter in his life.

On April 8, he melted hearts on Instagram when he posted an adorable side-by-side picture of himself and Frankie. In the picture, both father and daughter have their eyes closed and their mouths open, seemingly lost in a moment of pure joy.

“Daddy and Frankie are DOUBLE!” Shemar exclaimed in the caption. He also shared another heartwarming photo of little Frankie proudly wearing one of her late grandmother Marilyn’s hats, capturing a glimpse of her evolving personality and style.
The beautiful picture shows how much Frankie has developed in the last 2.5 months.
Shemar Moore and Jesiree Dizon, to whom Frankie was born on January 24, are Frankie’s parents. On January 9, they revealed they were expecting their first child together in a video posted on Instagram that included clips of their gender reveal. They already decided on the name Frankie.
Frankie’s original due date was set for February 8, which would be perfect timing considering Shemar Moore’s mother, grandmother Marilyn, died on that day in 2020. Their child would be due on the third anniversary of her untimely death.
Even though the baby arrived two weeks earlier than expected, it was still a special occasion because Grandma Marilyn had always wanted to be a grandma. Shemar accomplished his goal and together with his girlfriend and daughter commemorated the historic event on his mother’s tombstone.
He shared a picture of the group at the sign on February 9, along with some wine and his mother’s hat. My mother’s dream was for me to have children and provide her with grandchildren; It took me a while, but mom’s wish is finally coming true!” he wrote in the caption, adding that the journey was not easy.

“Jesiree Dizon, we re-entered each other’s lives, rediscovered love, and co-created a beautiful little human. She will be known as ‘My Little Miracle.'” DONNA MOORE I adore you Jezi and I am so grateful. My dad adores Frankie. Grandma Marilyn, I always adore and miss you,” Shemar said in the caption.
Shemar Moore shares the story of his mother’s stone marker
They made their first trip home with a baby just days after Shemar Moore and Jesiree Dizon welcomed their daughter — something extraordinary happened on January 26th. It is the same date that is written on the bottom of the stone as seen in the photo of Grandma Marilyn’s stone marker taken from above.
On the bottom of the sign, which reads “This house is my son’s home,” is the date January 26, 2020. Three years later, Shemar shared a video of himself lighting a tiki torch in memory of his mother while sipping wine in front of a rock. He briefly explained the origin of the stone and its meaning.
He last saw his mother on January 26, 2020, and she passed away on February 8, 2020. Shemar planned to sign an offer on the house on January 26, although he had not yet purchased it. Before he got to the house, his mother visited him to take a tour and get first impressions.

Shemar was told, “Shemar, you made your current house (his previous house) really beautiful and you had a good 13 years, but I was never completely in love with him,” at one point during the tour when she pointed him to the same spot. Shemar, however, this residence belongs to my son. He then had the stone created as a memento of this occasion.
