Adam didn’t think much about home for a long time.
Life was a whirlwind of promotions, late nights, and dreams of building your future. But every once in a while a faint voice whispered in the back of his mind, “What about Mom?”
He always shrugged it off and convinced himself that it was okay, that he would call if he really needed him. After all, she was always independent and never asked for anything.
But one morning something strange happened – he had an uneasy feeling, a feeling that something was wrong. Unable to shake himself, Adam impulsively decided to return home for a visit. He didn’t know what he would find, but he was sure his mother, Diana, would be waiting for him just like she always did.

Unfortunately, their house was severely damaged by the storm. Diana also went into a nursing home because she was unable to pay for repairs.

In the nursing home, Adam found his mother weak and sick.

Adam vowed to take care of Diana as she comforted him. He made sure Diana was never alone again by fixing up their house, moving his business to California, and living with her and his girlfriend.
He assured her, “You never have to be alone again.”
