A Closer Look

The Sony Xperia 1 IV is a beautiful phone. It’s got a sleek design, a great camera, and a powerful processor. But it’s not perfect. In this review, I’ll go over the good and the bad of the Sony Xperia 1 IV.

Sony Xperia 1 IV Specs • 6.5 Dynamic OLED display with HDR • 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution • 643ppi pixel density • Gorilla Glass Victus • Dolby Atmos audio enhancement • Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with 12GB RAM & 256GB storage (up to 512GB).

The Sony Xperia 1 IV also has some very interesting specs that make it different from other phones on the market. First, there’s the dual-SIM card slot which means you can have two separate phone numbers connected to one device! And second, the stereo speakers!

They provide really clear sound when watching videos or listening to music without any distortion at all. What could be better? There are a few things that could be improved about the Sony Xperia 1 IV.

For example, the back glass cover doesn’t feel as premium as other flagship phones on the market and the battery life isn’t amazing either. However, if these issues don’t bother you then we would definitely recommend picking up this phone! Here, is a full detailed review of the New Sony Xperia 1 IV!

Price and Configurations

The Sony Xperia 1 IV comes in just two configurations, with 12GB of RAM and 256/512GB of storage. It’s available in black, white, or violet. The phone retails for $1599, making it one of the most expensive mainstream phones on the market.

That said, it does have a few features that justify its high price tag. Its 6-inch 4K HDR OLED display is quite impressive, with deep blacks and vibrant colors.

Its 8 Gen octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor is also solid, able to power through intensive tasks without any issues. And its camera system has been designed to take fantastic photos day or night. All these things make this an awesome flagship.

Design & Build Quality

The Sony Xperia 1 IV is a sleek and stylish phone that feels great in the hand. The build quality is excellent, and the phone looks and feels premium. However, there are some issues with the design.

The bezels are too thick, and the fingerprint sensor is in an awkward position. But the Sony Xperia 1 IV specs show that it has plenty of power to do everything you need it to do, including streaming high-quality video. It also comes with long-lasting battery life, so you can watch hours of video without having to recharge.

The Sony Xperia 1 also has IP68 water and dust-resistant rating, so you can submerge it in up to 4.5 feet of water for as long as 30 minutes without causing any damage. You’ll be able to use it in all kinds of weather, including rain and snow without worrying about your phone being damaged.

The Sony Xperia 1 IV also comes with a large 6.1 Full HD+ OLED display, which offers rich colors and deep blacks for immersive viewing experiences. While not perfect, this model is one of the best phones on the market today because it combines style with substance.

Display

The Sony Xperia 1 IV has a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels. That works out to an aspect ratio of 21:9, which is taller and narrower than most phones.

The result is a phone that’s very tall and thin, making it difficult to use with one hand. But the tall aspect ratio does have some benefits. It’s great for watching movies and TV shows, and it also makes the phone feel more immersive when you’re gaming.

The display is also extremely sharp, with HDR support for even more vibrant colors. The biggest flaw with the display, however, is that it’s not very bright. In direct sunlight, it can be difficult to see what’s on the screen. There are also a few options for tweaking color or contrast levels.

This image shows the Sony Xperia 1 IV.

You can tweak some of these settings in a hidden menu, and it’s possible that future software updates will bring additional options. But right now, there aren’t enough options to make watching videos or browsing photos an enjoyable experience.

If you’re looking for a high-end phone with a crisp display, this is it. If you don’t mind these flaws, or if you typically use your phone in an indoor environment, then it’s a good display.

It’s sharp, crisp, and vibrant. And with a battery life that lasts all day, it’s perfect for anyone who wants to watch hours of content without plugging in. It’s an impressive performer overall.

Specs & Performance

The Sony Xperia 1 IV is a fascinating phone. It’s got a lot of great features, and it’s clear that Sony put a lot of thought into its design. However, there are also some serious flaws that hold it back from being a truly great phone.

For one thing, the battery life is terrible. Despite its flaws, though, the Sony Xperia 1 IV is still a very interesting phone that’s worth considering if you’re looking for something different.

If you want an Android device with two SIM card slots, a long-lasting battery, or a really good camera this might not be the best choice. Here are the Sony Xperia 1 IV’s key specifications in more detail:

-Dimensions (with curved edges): 6.5 x 3 x 40 inches

-Battery capacity: 5000 mAh

-Operating system: Android 12

-RAM: 12GB Whooping RAM

-CPU type/speed: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (4nm) 2.84 GHz octa-core

-Internal storage memory: 256GB (plus up to 512GB) of internal storage space should be enough for most people.

If you’re picky about your photos, though, know that the Sony Xperia 1 IV only comes with 12MP cameras on both sides of the phone. That means it can’t compete with other high-end devices like the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus which have better lenses and offer higher resolutions as well.

But if you want an aesthetically pleasing handset with modern-looking specs like Sony has always been known for then this could be just what you’re looking for.

Camera & Lens

The Sony Xperia 1 IV has a triple camera system on the back with some impressive specs. The main sensor is a 12MP unit with optical image stabilization and a 77-degree field of view.

The second sensor is a 12MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS. The third sensor is a 12MP ultrawide angle lens with a 124-degree field of view. All three sensors have phase detection autofocus and can shoot 4K video at up to 120fps.

The front-facing camera is a 12MP sensor, also capable of shooting 4K video. If you want to control the focus point for your images or videos after you’ve taken them, Sony offers something called Eye AF which does just that.

And if you happen to be interested in live portraits (or selfies), then you’ll be happy to know that Sony added Portrait Mode for both the front and rear cameras this year.

It’s not as good as Google’s Pixel phones, but it’s certainly a nice addition. With all these features packed into one phone, it’s no wonder Sony was able to claim it had one of the best smartphones in 2022 so far.

Sound Quality

There’s no denying that the Sony Xperia 1 IV is a beautifully designed phone. It’s also got some great features, like a high-quality OLED display and excellent sound quality.

One of its biggest flaws is the lack of standard ports. The phone only has one USB Type-C port, which will make it difficult to connect to chargers or use with a mouse or other accessories.

And while the built-in speakerphone sounds nice in theory, it doesn’t work well in practice because you can’t hold your hand over it to hear better as you would with most phones.

So if you’re looking for an excellent all-around smartphone, this is the device for you. If you want something beautiful and don’t care about standard ports, then this is worth considering.

Battery Life & Charging

The Sony Xperia 1 IV has a large 5,000mAh battery, which is great for a phone with such a large screen. Unfortunately, the battery life isn’t quite as good as we’d hoped. On a more positive note, however, battery life is pretty great.

The phone has a large 5000mAh battery and Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology that allows you to get 50 percent of battery life in just 30 minutes. You should be able to get through a full day of heavy use without running out of juice.

So while the battery life is good, it could be better.  But the fast charging does help out a lot. All in all, we were pleased with the Sony Xperia 1 IV’s battery experience. Yes, the battery life wasn’t perfect, but it was still pretty good considering the size of the screen.

Plus the speedy charging helped make up for that shortcoming. If you’re looking for a long-lasting battery, then the Sony Xperia 1 IV might not be your best choice.

But if you want an excellent display along with some other nice features like water resistance and wireless charging, then this phone may work well for you. We hope Sony can tweak things to improve the battery performance so that it’s more competitive with newer phones coming out soon.

Overall Verdict – Should You Buy It?

The Sony Xperia 1 IV is a complicated phone. It has a lot of great features, but it also has some flaws. Overall, it’s a fascinating phone that is worth considering if you’re in the market for a new device.

However, there are some things you should keep in mind before making your decision. For one thing, the Sony Xperia 1 IV doesn’t have an SD card slot.

If you want to store more photos or videos on your phone than what can fit on its storage, then this isn’t the right model for you. On the other hand, Sony Xperia 1 IV Specs like an octa-core processor and a large battery make it good for multitasking and video streaming.

Furthermore, the Sony Xperia 1 IV screen is beautiful with vibrant colors and a high pixel density. Finally, the camera on this device offers crisp shots even when using low light settings.

Ultimately, we think the positives outweigh the negatives enough to recommend it as a good buy. We hope our review has helped you decide whether or not to purchase the Sony Xperia 1 IV.
