Actress Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son, Pax Jolie-Pitt, were involved in a horrific e-bike accident in Los Angeles last week.
A close friend of the family has now revealed that although he has been released from intensive care, he is still not completely well.
“The patient has left the intensive care unit. According to the source, he suffered extensive trauma and is currently beginning a lengthy process of physical rehabilitation and recovery.
According to sources, Jolie was by her son’s side throughout the experience, and his siblings were also there to support their brother.
Angelina and Brad have six children together. Three are adopted, while three are biological: Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 15.
Maddox (22), Pax (20), and Zahara (19) are adopted children.
According to a person close to the family, “Pax and Angelina are deeply grateful for the quick and life-saving action of the paramedics and the excellent medical care he received.”
Pax was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was immediately sent to the hospital after suffering a head injury and hip pain. According to the first word the media managed to get, Pax was stable and likely to return home soon.
Emergency responders were called to investigate the incident at Hobart and Los Feliz Boulevard at approximately 5 p.m., according to the LAPD, after an e-bike was believed to have been struck by a car that had stopped at a red light. Although the e-bike rider had a serious head injury, he was conscious and alert when transported to a nearby hospital.
There is reportedly no hit-and-run, DUI, or criminal component of any type associated with the occurrence.
According to a family source, Angelina was with her son, who was described as “stable.”
Jolie’s entourage has not yet commented on the matter.
Lola Cavalli, who was among the first at the scene of the accident and was able to provide medical assistance to the passengers on July 29, recently participated in an interview.
Cavalli revealed that she immediately called 9-1-1. The operator gave her instructions on how to assess Pax’s injuries and how to apply pressure to any bleeding until paramedics arrived.
“I didn’t notice any broken bones or significant bleeding as it was. Also, because it was on the head, I wasn’t able to see where I could apply pressure, even though I was instructed to do so at the time Cavalli recalled that he was hit in the head.
Besides, there wasn’t much blood. She continued: “[But] his mouth was full of blood. You didn’t see it coming out like a fountain of blood.” I noticed a trickle of blood coming from his mouth as he tried to speak.
Back then she was more worried about the oncoming traffic.
“I could see the traffic because it was right in the middle of the intersection and nobody behind us could see what was going on,” she said. “I took command of the traffic. To make sure I wasn’t hit by his car or him, I started watching.”
“We did everything we thought was necessary to make sure the ambulance arrived and [to make sure] the oncoming traffic from both directions was moving instead of piling up, which would have made it completely impossible for our ambulance to approach.”
What a tragic event! We wish Pax the best and hope he recovers quickly from this experience! Spread the word so others can wish the 20-year-old!
Pax Jolie-Pitt’s recent e-bike accident was a harrowing experience for both him and his family, but the support from his loved ones and the quick response of doctors made a huge difference in his recovery. Although he has made progress since leaving intensive care, Pax still has a long road to recovery and it is clear that his family is with him every step of the way.
