Introduction
The SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ wireless gaming headset is a great choice for gamers looking for a wireless solution. With 40mm drivers and DTS Headphone: X2 surround sound, the headset delivers an exceptional audio experience on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.Â
I tested the headset with Counter-Strike Global Offensive (CSGO) and Fortnite Battle Royale. In CSGO, the audio was crystal clear when communicating with teammates and made it easy to distinguish where sounds were coming from in-game. In Fortnite, I found myself hearing my enemies from around corners which helped me take them out before they took me out.Â
There were no noticeable lag or stuttering issues while playing either game. If you’re in the market for a wireless gaming headset that provides great performance at an affordable price point then this may be your best option. The SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ has everything you need in a quality gaming headset minus the wires. Let’s dive into the full review of it!

Price & Availability
The SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ is a high-end wireless gaming headset that features advanced technology. It’s priced at $149.99, which may seem expensive, but it’s worth the investment if you’re a gamer looking for the best possible experience when playing games on your PC or console.Â
The Arctis 7P+ performs well in both wired and wireless modes, with clear audio and easy-to-use controls. It’s also very comfortable to wear and comes with three sets of ear cushions so you can find the perfect fit for your ears.Â
The price may seem steep, but remember that many other wireless headsets offer similar features at an even higher cost. You can also save a bit of money if you buy directly from SteelSeries, as opposed to a third-party retailer.
Design & Comfort
The SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ is a wireless gaming headset that excels in comfort and performance. The top of the headband has a nice, soft cushion to provide a comfortable fit for hours of use. It features an adjustable steel slider that provides a customized fit to the back of your head. SteelSeries has taken design to a new level with the modular Airweave ear cushions.Â
These airy cushions allow heat to dissipate quickly and make this one of my favorite pairs of gaming headsets. The only downside I could find was that there is no way to turn up the volume on my voice chat if I’m not playing. But with everything else this headset does well, it can easily be overlooked.Â
To put it simply, the build quality is exceptional. When you first get them out of the box you’ll see that they are gorgeous! The design is almost Batman-Esque (albeit less flashy) and is well put together. For audio, the bass doesn’t overpower anything but it also isn’t tinny or fuzzy.Â
With any luck, this will be the last gaming headset you buy for a while. Overall, it’s very light and feels like you’re wearing nothing at all! Plus, it fits well with glasses so you don’t have to worry about having to take them off when gaming!
Notable Features
The SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ is a performance-driven wireless gaming headset that offers top-of-the-line audio, comfort, and battery life. Powered by the same reliable wireless technologies used in the groundbreaking SteelSeries Siberia 800 and Elite 800 series products, this headset provides an unparalleled level of freedom and control over every aspect of your gaming experience.Â
With up to 20 hours of use on a single charge, you’ll never need to worry about running out of power mid-game or during long LAN parties. The Arctis 7P+ is compatible with any device that has Bluetooth 5.1 LE or higher capabilities and includes multiple cables for connecting with PCs (USB 2.0) or PS4/Xbox One consoles (3.5mm).Â
It also features Dolby Atmos support for PC gamers as well as customizable RGB lighting effects. The ear cups rotate 180 degrees so they can lay flat when not in use. In addition, they are designed to block external noise so users can focus on the game at hand without distraction.Â
Our favorite feature is the availability of two different versions — one wired and one wireless — so users can choose between having lag-free audio or having no wires at all. For us, it was an easy choice to go with the best of both worlds. If you are looking for the next generation of wireless gaming headsets, then look no further than the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+.
Sound Quality
The sound quality on the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ is some of the best we’ve heard on a wireless headset. Not only does it produce rich audio, but it also has spatial awareness which really helps you locate where sounds are coming from in games. As someone who plays FPSs and MMORPGs, this was one of my favorite features.Â
In other words, if you are running in one direction and you hear an enemy behind you about to attack, you can turn around quickly and make sure they don’t get a chance to sneak up on you. While it won’t replace you surround sound headphones, it’s very useful nonetheless.Â
In games like Fortnite Battle Royale where sounds are very important to know where an enemy is coming from since there is no minimap/map information available to view at all times, having good audio situational awareness really helps!Â
I never had any issue hearing gunshots or footsteps from afar which allowed me to position myself accordingly. Overall, SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ packages a great sound performance!
Performance
The SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ is one of the best wireless gaming headsets on the market. It’s comfortable, has great battery life, and even has a built-in microphone so you can chat with your friends without having to break out your headphones.
There are a lot of wireless gaming headsets on the market, but not all of them have everything that you’re looking for. It’s hard to find a headset with everything you need. You want something that sounds great, is comfortable to wear, and can last through hours of gameplay without charging.Â
In other words, there are more things to look for when shopping for a wireless gaming headset than there are with a wired one because wires will always tether your experience to either your PC or phone in some way.Â
Luckily, the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ does it all: it has fantastic audio performance and great range, is both lightweight and comfortable (because it uses memory foam), and has an impressive battery life that should last up to 30 hours. These features combined make the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ one of the best wireless gaming headsets available on the market right now.
MicrophoneÂ
The mic on the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ is one of the best mics I’ve ever used. It’s a bidirectional design, so you can use it for both game audio and in-game chat. It also sounds great, with only a very slight hiss when no sound is coming through.
Using it in the game is a completely different experience. It sounds crisp and clear, and I could hear every sound my teammates made—there was no hiss or distortion from having other people nearby to compete with. In fact, compared to other headphones on which I’ve used mics, even at full volume, none of them sounded as good as SteelSeries’s bidirectional mic does.Â
I would love to see this microphone implemented in more headsets! The performance that it offers makes me think that this mic should be a standard issue with all gaming headsets because nothing else I’ve tried compares. With its combination of great quality, wireless convenience, and stellar performance, I don’t know why any gamer would go back to wired a headset after trying the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+.
Controls & Connectivity
The SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ was designed to be a comfortable, high-quality wireless gaming headset that’s easy to use. It doesn’t disappoint. They may not have the same level of sound quality as some of the other models on this list, but they do provide a great experience all around and are worth considering if you want wireless functionality without giving up too much in terms of performance or comfort.Â
Another great feature of these headphones is their ability to auto-pause your music when you take them off and resume playing when you put them back on. A lot of gamers like this because they don’t need to worry about making sure their music is paused every time they disconnect from their PC.Â
It’s just one more thing to worry about during gameplay, so it’s nice to have such a small convenience. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.1, which is one of the best options currently on offer. You can also connect wirelessly via USB Type-C (cable included), USB Type-A (cable included), or by plugging it into your computer’s 3.5mm audio jack.Â
Regardless of what you choose, the connection should remain stable with minimal interference – even over long distances. And while we’re talking about connections, let’s take a minute to mention how many ways there are for connecting to devices and computers with these headphones! You’ll never be without a way to enjoy an uninterrupted game session no matter where you go.
Battery life & Charging
The SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ wireless gaming headset is about as good as it gets when you’re looking for a wireless gaming headset. This model has an excellent battery life of up to 30 hours, which is plenty for most gamers who don’t play games for more than 10 hours at a time.Â
It also charges quickly, so if you do find yourself low on juice then there’s no need to worry. Charging the headset takes around 1 hour and can be done while playing with a laptop or console and doesn’t require any wires or adapters.Â
The battery indicator lights are conveniently located on the right earcup and let you know exactly how much power is left in the device. For example, four blue lights indicate that the headset still has over 50% of its battery life remaining.Â
If all four red lights are showing this means that the battery is completely drained and needs to be recharged. When charging the headset, an orange light will blink until it is fully charged.Â
Conclusion – Should you buy it?
The SteelSeries Arctis 7P+ is a wireless gaming headset that exceeds expectations. With audio quality that is unparalleled and the convenience of a wireless connection, this is an excellent choice for any gamer who wants to be untethered from their console.Â
While it’s not perfect, you can’t go wrong with the performance you get with the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+. It has some minor flaws, but the pros outweigh them. It looks cool, has great sound quality, and offers very good performance. For those looking for a wireless solution without breaking the bank, we highly recommend considering this headset!Â
If you’re looking to buy a wireless gaming headset, then you shouldn’t go wrong with what SteelSeries offers in their Arctis line. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that it’s perfect, but it comes damn close!Â
