Levi accidentally drove his tractor into a river near his family’s home and was sent to a hospital in Salt Lake City. Local police found Levi unconscious about a mile downstream.
The youngster started showing signs of improvement after being told he was brain-dead and unlikely to survive.
“LEVI AWAKENS!” The doctor told me it’s okay to be excited about it and I AM, even though we don’t know much. “My baby is really hard!” Kallie Wright, his mother, posted on Facebook.
Unfortunately, the MRI results the next day “were not good.”
“We are broken, but they are just pictures that show a certain way of life. “What Levi does in the next few days will really tell us everything,” Kallie said.
As Levi struggled in the hospital, his friends and family continued to seek prayers.
Kallie broke the bad news to me on June 2nd.
“After many sleepless nights, lots of research, many conversations with the best neurologists in the world, and millions of prayers, here we are facing our biggest fear,” she said. “Levi showed us just enough to buy us some time. Despite the obstacles, he took these steps to show his desire to stay here. Now we realize that his intention was to give us some time to get used to the idea of letting him go.

Family friend Mindy Sue Clark announced Levi’s death the following day on Facebook.
“The last two weeks have been so hard I can’t even describe them. The night before his accident his phone rang and I got a message that he had to go last night. I don’t want to dwell on negative or depressing things about it. It hurts like someone ripped my heart out and shoved it in my face. I want to talk about all the miracles that happened during those twelve days.
“The most amazing three-year-old ever.” We couldn’t keep him because he was so perfect. This little guy has accomplished a lot in the past twelve days. He managed to gather a considerable group of individuals. The light brought the young man to a very dark planet. There is no child in whom his parents could wish for anything better.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wright family during this extremely difficult time.
The heartbreaking loss of Levi Wright deeply affected not only his family, but the wider community that admired his father, Spencer Wright, and their shared passion for rodeo.
