It took 17-year-old Cameron James four hours to mow his family’s front lawn.
In Haslet, Texas, a family lives in a modestly sized house with a garden that shouldn’t take so long to mow.

In honor of the late soldier, Cameron placed a massive American flag in his family’s yard.
The teenager told CNN: “He was just a role model for me.” That’s why I wanted to make sure that even those who didn’t know him felt his loss.

A giant American flag was raised in memory of his friend, Army Pfc. Kevin Christian, 21, killed himself last month at a border patrol in Arizona and Mexico.
This plan was made by the teenage father to his son the year before last, but it was never carried out. Cameron believed that this year would be ideal for a display of family patriotism.
In his family’s front yard, Cameron spent four hours cutting the stars and stripes with the assistance of his 11-year-old brother, Daniel. The boys made the stripes using different lawnmower settings and the stars using the weed eater.
His mother Amy said: “I am very proud of my son and his thoughtfulness.” His memorial gave me the impression that he was honoring not only Kevin, but all soldiers stationed at home and overseas, being the daughter of an Army soldier, a Navy niece, and the granddaughter of an Air Force man.
