Ellie bought a 1974 RV with her birthday money and began the renovation process in the summer of 2016. With furniture untouched since the 1970s, Ellie’s dream project took a lot of work. According to Ellie’s mother, Lori, it “needed work…a lot of work.” Despite the challenge, Ellie was ready to take on the project and began by scraping the floors.

She started by painting the camper the color she wanted, choosing a vibrant shade of blue known as “Mystic Sea.” She then worked on the interior, applying a peach color with accents of aquamarine blue and laying a new hardwood floor.

Eventually, Ellie turned the caravan into her private retreat in just one summer. It’s barely discernible in the before and after pictures.
